Is Pposh Legit?

PPosh.com  “The Only Way to Go.” But will anyone ever be going anywhere?

It looks like PPosh could be another scam based on the penny auction platform.

Penny Auction Insider Calls Pposh a Complete Scam

Pposh “auctions” off tons of items such as ski vacations, Disney cruises, plane tickets, HDTVs, laptops, golf packages at 5 star resorts, car rentals, restaurant gift cards and flash drives-and on a daily basis.

Even right now at 2:44 am there are 4 people bidding on the Three Night Cruise for 2 on Sapphire Princess

cruise pposh scam [ Auction ID : Crui002192 ] Auction is for a four-night cruise for two on the Sapphire Princess travelling in September 2009. The Sapphire Princess departs from Vancouver, British Columbia, on a Saturday. Sunday is a relaxing day at sea. On Monday she docks in Ketchikan, Alaska. Tuesday is another day at sea before returning to Vancouver on Wednesday. The offer is for an inside stateroom featuring two twin beds that can convert to a queen-size bed, TV, music system, refrigerator, closet, bathroom with shower, phone, and safe.

It just ended with the winning bidder using Bid Buddy. Did the others just pop in to place 3 bids at 3 am ?

pposh penny auction

Just a few days ago PPosh posted an ad on TravelPod.com soon afterwards  PPosh found the Penny Auction Watch Forum and posted a little ad promoting  their “posh” endeavor.

Don’t get me wrong, we welcome penny auction sites to join and promote their sites,  that is if they are operating a penny auction ethically. Most of them return to answer questions, give us more details about their site and don’t just post one line advertisements.

Here’s what PPosh had to say:

pposh.com – leader in online penny and bid auctions lauches new site: pposh.com. get great deals on merchandise, airline tickets, hotel rooms and much more!!!

pposh.com – come join the fun!!

With an Alexa ranking of 728,439  I’d say that Pposh is puffing, just a bit?

Take a look at Alexa rankings for a few of the top penny auctions:
Swoopo: 8,172
BidCactus:54,620
Rockybid: 121,928
Zoozle: 147,275
BidRodeo: 325,117

The registrar for PPosh is private but listed in Toronto and they are a legitimate LLC registered with the state of Florida. (Anyone with $154.95 can do this.) The domain was purchased on May 4th of this year.

According to their blog it looks like PPosh just got rolling on/around August 12th:
pposh scam

That would make sense as to why we only just found them this week.

Look at PPosh says in their about-us page:

Anyone can bid with only a few mouse clicks. Click here to see how easy it is to register (Free) and start bidding. Our single-minded focus has paid off with a rapidly growing registered user base even though we have done very little consumer marketing. More than half of our registered users tell us they found out about Pposh.com through word of mouth!

Pposh is managed by seasoned professionals with over 100 years of combined experience in the travel, internet, auctions, and general business fields.

We are a privately held company based in Florida. All our investors are private individuals.

Pposh, the “forerunner of penny auctions” does little paid consumer marketing they have utilized free outlets on the web, such as this site, TravelPod, their own free blogspot blog,  to name a few.

More of  Pposh’s “word of mouth” ads:

I just won a Pacific Coast Cruise to British Columbia on a new website I just stumbled on and I feel they are going to be very, successful…they have just launched the site a few days ago. Check it out http://www.pposh.com

The auction I won is at http://pposh.com/book-bidbudler.php?product_id=187

Look familiar? Straight out of the horse’s mouth, from their blog:

pposh scam fraud

Since Pposh has a professional team with over 100 years of combined travel and other  “general business fields” you’d think they would be smart enough to not place 12 items all ending between now 2AM and  6 AM:

pposh scam auction travel

Judging from the looks of Pposh’s ended auctions there are just a few who will? be traveling all over the world in the months to come.

Oh it gets even better, there are customer testimonials:

We’re good! Really Good …But don’t just take our word for it!
Many of our customers have been saying a lot of nice and really interesting things about us.

scam testimonial pposh

Anyone with graphic editing skills and money for a Swoopo Clone script  can start a penny auction. I placed my 5 free bids on a $25 restaurant gift card and even on that Pposh received hundreds of bids. If it looks like a scam, smells like a scam, maybe it’s a scam?

What do you think, have you tried Pposh & won? Do you have a lot of nice and interesting things to say about PPosh?

That’s why online pharmacies is becoming more pop over the last years. Well-known are remedies which are used to reduce inflammation caused by inflammation of the skeletal muscle etc. There were only few examples. Did somebody tell you about canadian generic Viagra? Maybe you along know about the question. Sexual disfunction can be a result of a physical condition. Even when it has a physical cause, psychological problems can make the disorder worse. Sex drive problems are so commonly a product of how you feel that there is something to that “headache” saying after all.

I signed up, and got my free bids and receive an email stating that they are in Beta Testing Mode ( whatever it means. I just don't get it, why you write so much stuff which is not true on a site that is still work in progress and in testing…it sound like you are trying to promote other auction site. You can be ashame of yourself.

Don’t pick and choose, put out all the posting, don’t hide under your bed…post the truth that you have known for sometimes that they are in a testing mode, which advertiser paid you to post these lies?

As a user of PPOSH, I have received a copy of the email sent to you on 25th…they have sent a message to all their registered users with the email sent to you….they were on the up and up with me and my son and one don’t post stuff like that just for sake of filling his pages, not nice! They have 11 or 12 other very successful sites and in the web based businesses for the past 9 yesrs. If you research a little you’ll see who they are. ( Hint: They are in the hospitality business in a few countries)
