New Penny Auction Site Introduction: PennyPlex

Penny Auction Watch: What got you interested in the entertainment shopping industry?

PennyPlex: I have been an online entrepreneur and online shopper for many years. I enjoyed participating in online auctions and decided that I had something to offer. I joined with a great team of people and Pennyplex.com was born.

Penny Auction Watch: When will you open?

PennyPlex: We are in the last stage of testing. If all goes well we would like to have a launch party beginning Friday December 4.

Penny Auction Watch: What kind of items do you have lined up? Will your auctions run on a schedule?

PennyPlex: We plan to introduce some new and different items that you don’t see on the other auction sites. Because we are just getting started we won’t be able to offer the more expensive items until we can build our member base but I think folks will be excited.

We are not planning to run on a schedule and will run our auctions 24/7.

It’s hard to stop in the middle of an auction that you are excited about bidding on and come back the next day at a certain time. I’ve lost a few that way.

Penny Auction Watch: What are the timer increments between bids/does this vary by auction?

PennyPlex: We will start out with the timer increments about 30 seconds. I’m sure we will need to make adjustments as our member base increases.

Penny Auction Watch: How much are your bids?

PennyPlex: We offer 6 bidbundles to choose from with bids ranging from .70 – 1.00

Penny Auction Watch: What are your shipping costs?

PennyPlex: There are no shipping costs for our members.

Penny Auction Watch: Are there win limits, limits /household?

PennyPlex: We want to give everyone a chance to win something on pennyplex.com so we have a win limit of 3 wins per week. We allow only 2 members per household.

Penny Auction Watch: Is there a story behind the name/theme?

PennyPlex: We want to eventually offer several types of auctions so while we were brainstorming our goals and future plans Pennyplex seemed to be the name that “stuck”.

Additional Comments:

The launch party will start Friday, December 4 (sometime around sunrise) – December 6, (sometime before midnite) Members will receive 3 bids with the first bidbundle purchase. We have some great items lined up and free random bid awards and other fun stuff all weekend. Register and join the party!
