Penny Auction Watch: What got you interested in the entertainment shopping industry?
I started bidding on swoopo.com and got hooked into the penny auction
world. Shortly after bidding on swoopo, I realized that It was almost
impossible to win in such a large site. I then ventured into smaller penny
auction sites, won some auctions, got scammed in others. The idea behind
pennyscoop is to offer a balance. We want to offer great products while
providing good customer service that the smaller sites are able to
provide.
Penny Auction Watch: What kind of items do you have lined up? Will your auctions run on a schedule?
We want to offer great designer goods as well as popular electronic
accessories. Some things we are planning on offering include wii,
netbooks, designer purses and gift cards. In addition, to keep the site
fresh, we’d like to offer some products other penny auction sites don’t.
We’ll throw in a curve ball every once in a while so that our customers
will have something unique to win. We buy all our items in advance to
ensure shipping times will be as quick as possible. Check back on the
forums for a sneak peek at our items!
Penny Auction Watch: What are the timer increments between bids/does this vary by auction?
The bid-timer’s between auctions will be between 10-20 seconds,
depending on the auction. Our BidPal is also limited to an increase of 20
minutes. So if two BidPals are going at it, the most the auction time will
increase by is 20 minutes.
Penny Auction Watch: How much are your bids?
Our bids cost $0.50.
Penny Auction Watch: What are your shipping costs?
Shipping costs are about the same as other penny auction sites.
Penny Auction Watch: Are they win limits, limits /household?
The win limit for our opening month will be 2 items per week per
household. Your bids will not be refunded if you go over and continue
bidding (this is to stop reckless bidding and protect the bidders).
Penny Auction Watch: Is there a story behind the name/theme?
PennyScoop came from the idea that you can scoop up great items for
pennies off the retail price.
In addition, we have some great ideas lined up for our site such as a
rewards club and some type of “losers auction” – (where only people who
haven’t won can bid on these auctions).
I’d also like to thank all the beta testers for helping us find out all
the bugs. We really appreciate your help and will be holding the prize
raffle very soon!

Refunds will be given for unused bids at 0.50 a bid for any reason. BidPacks & other Free bids won in promotion are not counted.

8. DO you do your own fulfilment or will you use Amazon or Other please specify?
We currently have all our auction items in stock, which is why our shipping times are so quick. We may use amazon in the future.
