Opened in February of 2010, MyEZbids.com is a privately owned and funded penny auction based out of Illinois. They’ve recently added a “Buy it Now” Feature that eliminates the risk of losing an auction. Their users are now able to apply the value of bids spent in an auction towards the purchase of that item at retail price, in the event they do not win the auction. MyEZbids tells us that they are committed to giving users the safest and best penny auction site.  Read our interview with MyEzBids to learn more!

What got you interested in the entertainment shopping industry?

After scouting the internet and current Penny Auction Sites, We decided to devise a plan to create an, above all else, safe and user-friendly site right here in the States!

When did MyEzBids.com open?

MyEZbids began closing auctions on 2-26-2010.

What kind of items do you offer? Do your auctions run on a schedule?

We run auctions from 1:30pm – 11:30pm Central Time.  Auctions are set to end every half hour during this time.  We auction a variety of items as well, ranging from gift cards to lawn and garden and home appliances all the way to high end electronics.

Timer increments between bids:

All of our auctions  run on a 15 second timer and increase by $0.01.

Bid Cost:

We offer several sized bid packs for members to purchase.  Bids cost $0.50, however the larger bid packs come with a 10% bonus!

Shipping Cost:

Shipping is free for the auction winner in all of our auctions, this is however limited to US members only. There are additional charges for international shipping.  Also, when members use the “Buy it Now” feature there is a shipping charge already added into that price as well.

Win limits?

Members are allowed to win 2 auctions a day and no more than 30 within 30 days.

Is there a story behind the MyEZbids name/theme?

We wanted something very easy for members to remember and at the same time we wanted it to be relevant to what we were doing.  MyEZBids simply seemed like a natural fit for us.
