Read our recent interview with SmartBid to learn more about this new, lowest unique bid auction and if you try them out, don’t forget to come back and tell us about your experience!

Penny Auction Watch: What got you interested in the entertainment shopping industry?

SmartBid: We are passionate shopaholics and we love nothing more than sweet deals!  When we first saw Swoopo last year – we loved the idea how shopping can be fun and rewarding while competing for a cherished product with fellow bargain hunters. However, we soon realized that winning in regular Swoopo style auctions are more of luck than real competition.
We wanted to take the luck factor out of pay-per-bid auctions and put the bidders in the driver’s seat. This is why we are introducing Smart Auction™, an exciting reverse auction format where users bid skillfully to beat the competition and win brand new products at incredibly low cost.
Penny Auction Watch: What makes SmartBid unique?

There are several things that are unique to SmartBid:
  • As the name says, it’s all about bidding smart.  Unlike conventional auctions where highest bidder wins, SmartBid works quite the opposite.  Products get bid typically within a range of a penny to a dollar and the lowest bid which is not matched by any other bid wins. Bidders use skillful insights to place bids which are unmatched by other bidders.  SmartBid also helps along the way with hints, bidding history and live email updates to make the experience fun and interactive. Take a look at our video to see how it all works:.
  • We wanted to create a fun and fair bidding environment for all. Auctions are designed to cater to different skill levels and everyone has a chance to get their money back in exclusive reward auctions. No one comes out empty-handed at SmartBid – members receive equal reward credits for every dollar spent on regular auctions which they can use to play in reward auctions or donate to charitable causes. We have selected Oceana for our first month beneficiary.
We also wanted to introduce complete control and transparency in the shipping process. As soon as you pay the winning bid price, you will receive an automated Amazon gift code equivalent to the product price in your email address along with instructions how to redeem your product in Amazon.
Penny Auction Watch: What kind of items do you have lined up?  Will your auctions run on a schedule?

We have the most sought after electronic gadgets, gaming consoles and gift cards, all from brand name companies such as Apple, Nintendo, American Express etc.
Our auctions run on demand and we will feature whatever our members want to buy most.  -Our auctions close by maximum number of bids and some of the auctions close in as little as 10 bids.
Penny Auction Watch: How much are your bids?

Bid costs start from 50 cents.
Penny Auction Watch: What are your shipping costs?

As we said earlier, users are in complete control of the shipping process. Most of the items ship for free from Amazon for ground shipping!
Penny Auction Watch: Are there any win limits, limits /household?

Currently, there is no win limit. We will introduce win limits as required.  Only one account per household is allowed to register.
Penny Auction Watch: Is there a story behind the SmartBid name?

Yes!  As we said earlier, we loved the idea how shopping can be fun while competing for a product with fellow bargain hunters. But, we hated the fact that how much it’s all about luck than strategy and smart bidding. That is why we wanted to create a place where it’s fair for all members and winning is a matter of smart strategy and not of pure luck. Hence the name “SmartBid” – Play Smart and Win BIG!
Thanks SmartBid! Discuss and review your experiences with TheSmartBid.com in our penny auction forum!

That’s why online pharmacies is becoming more popular over the last years. Well-known are remedies which are used to reduce inflammation caused by inflammation of the skeletal muscle etc. There were only few examples. Did somebody tell you about canadian generic Viagra? Maybe you along know about the question. Sexual disfunction can be a result of a physical condition. Even when it has a physical cause, psychological problems can make the disorder worse. Sex drive problems are so commonly a product of how you feel that there is slightly to that “headache” saying after all.

The items marked “closing soon” never close! It can take more than two weeks for those items to close. That, for me, is a scam.

The site is not a scam, but it’s a site where “parasite bidders” wait for someone to post bids and then “scarf” up the remaining bids to take all. It’s rare to get a good deal. I’ve been doing penny auctions for about 2 years and this is the first site I’m down more than $200. I’m done with this site.
