IGotThisCheap.com is a new penny auction that launched last month. Their items include gift cards, electronics, and other household items. Dedicated to giving back to the community, IGotThisCheap donates 10% of proceeds to Angel Food Ministries, which provides food to families in need of assistance, they also send care packages to men & women in the Armed Forces via Heros of the Month! IGotThisCheap: We do not allow auto bidders on our auctions. The reason for this is to again create a fair environment. We have been asked to include a few auctions a day for autobidding however it seems to us that autobidding creates an environment of intimidation for most users and brings up the question of shilling. We choose to avoid that question all together.
IGotThisCheap.com: We were players on other sites. We saw what we liked and what we didn’t like. Together we decided we could make a better site that was fair, quick in shipping and would be a fun site to use.

IGotThisCheap: We opened our doors July 23, 2010
Penny Auction Watch: What kind of items do you offer/ have lined up? Do your auctions run on a schedule?
IGotThisCheap: Our line up has been a struggle to be honest. As a new site we have to balance our auctions with our user base. We are constantly changing the line up and gauging the response. We have learned a few good lessons and now we feel our base is to the point to step up our auction offers.
Starting Friday we are going more toward the higher gift cards and electronics. Our members are very vocal about what they wish to bid on and we have listened to them. Our site offers a few things that others do not. We have a Ditch the timer auction that seems to be gaining in popularity. You can visist our site and read about this type of auction under the How it Works- Ditch the timer section.
In addition, we award runner up bids. For all timed auctions on the site the runner up is rewarded with 5 bids once the auction has been closed.
Happy hour and Daily Drawings are also part of our site. Again this information is found under the How it Works section.
Penny Auction Watch: What are the timer increments between bids/does this vary by auction? The timers do not vary by auction at this time.
IGotThisCheap: Based on Alexa reports our server is 58% faster than all servers on the globe. The timer resets based on the bids 20 – 22 seconds on the average.
Penny Auction Watch: How much are your bids?
IGotThisCheap: Our bids start at .75 down to .55 depending on the amount you purchase at one time.
Penny Auction Watch: What are your shipping costs? How long does it usually take for users to receive their items?
IGotThisCheap: Shipping varies for the product. We have changed a few of the delivery methods recently and shipping can range from $2.00 – $7.99
Penny Auction Watch: What states/countries are you open to?
IGotThisCheap: We are only operating in the United States, we have no plans to become international at this time.
Penny Auction Watch: What is your policy for bid refunds? Bids are not refundable. We encourage all new members to read over our terms and to not begin bidding until they are comfortable and aware of how the site works.
Penny Auction Watch: Are there any win limits, limits /household?
IGotThisCheap: Our win limits are 3 per day. We will make exceptions for multiple members from the same household. They must put in writing an agreement to not bid against eachother and a separate credit card must be used for each bidder. We have only had to disable a few accounts so far but that was because a new member was attempting to create multiple accounts to get free bids. We catch these very quick and disable the account. We need our site to fair to everyone.
Penny Auction Watch: Is there a story behind the name/theme?
IGotThisCheap: When we picked the name we wanted it to explain a bit more about who we were. We like the name and hope it becomes well received to the public.
