Last week we spoke with the founder of Pulse Auction, and he told us that this new penny auction site was created out of their teams’ frustrations with existing penny auction sites “where they wasted countless hours and dollars chasing product we could never win.”
Putting their own creative energy into brainstorming to find out how they could create a penny auction site where users wouldn’t have to experience the same frustration they did while bidding on other penny auction sites, they’ve created a system unlike the majority of penny auction sites which doesn’t require users to pay-per-bid.
Unlike a seat auction where users have to wait for auction seats to fill up and auctions to be scheduled, PulseAuction allows users to bid with unlimited bids after paying an auction entry price in the form of auction keys. Auction keys come in different colors per price and each item requires a specified color key. Keys are color coded to amounts and can be traded forKeys unlock users’ ability to place as many or as little bids as desired, up until the end price they want to pay for an item.
So far the majority of PulseAuctions’ items have ended with end prices at less than retail price, a Coach handbag at $80.50, $25 iTunes at $8.20, $15 Subway card for $5.30 are recently ended examples of this:
Pulse Auctions are currently running a grand opening promotion, the first 2,000 members are eligible for a chance to win a 46″ LCD HDTV.
