I was sold an illegal bill of sale for this script and did not know it was illegal. I was lied to and cheated by Jonathan Smith/PennyAuctionCommunity.com. My apologies to ScriptMatix as I did not know I was sold an illegal script copy.
With over 30k ended auctions Shillo.com has now shut down. The company that created the software, Scriptmatix, said I had to remove it because apparently I bought the software from someone who did not have the legal rights to sell it, though when I asked him prior to my purchasing it he told me he did have resale rights.
All in all it was fun while it lasted, just goes to show how easy it is for a penny auction site to start up, rip people off with bots and then shut down. This was the 3rd script we bought and tried, the first we could never get to work. Nearly $1000 has been invested and many hours, to try and get Shillo going.
I probably couldn’t use the bots on it any longer anyway since the OFT in the UK has now demanded that operators using Scriptmatix’s PHPpennyauction software no longer employ bots. Thank you OFT!
We enjoyed giving away free items and letting PAW members try penny auction bidding for free, so Shillo may just be back soon with different software.

How do you purchase software from someone that you “didn’t know have the license” This isn’t Windows XP corporate we’re talking here.. We’re talking about http://www.phppennyauction.com Of course they are the only ones who has the rights to sell that script………….. I mean no offense but that is just like wow… All the stories that have been brought out on PAW, about individuals selling software they don’t have licenses to, and PAW goes and does the same thing? I find this very hard to believe.

I did not know the person who sold me the script did not have rights to resell it. He told me he did. I did not do the same thing. He purported to own the script license and said he was reselling what he bought 1x, transferring rights. He told me he was going to sell it on Flippa any way. It wasn’t until recently that I found out he did not even own the script but another penny auction site owner did.

According to the person I bought it from PHPPennyAuction installed the script on my domain as well. I just found on a forum site that customers of PHP are reselling their licenses as well. I was sold a bill of sale I did not know I couldn’t buy it.

No one ever said anything about resell rights. PAW is a liar and Jonathan would have never done that. He may have sold but thought he had the rights to sell what he bought to get his investment back. I emailed Jonathan and that is what he told me.

I am sorry… Jonathan will tell you anything… He knew what he was doing, when he sold my script to Amanda.
He is a very softspoke, slick con man.
While he was with midpenny, he conned me out of somewhere around 7,000.00, including the computer he is trying to destroy midpenny with.
He is a classic liar, and cheat. He put together pennyauctioncommunity, only to try to put PAW and PB out of business, and this I have in writing, from Jonathan.
He will tell you anything to make him look good, and everyone else look like they are causing trouble.
Look at most of his posts, of the past… everyone except for Jonanthat is a liar…
I will never do any kind of business with this man again.
He and his posts got me un verified on PB and losy my sponsorship on PAW.
If you let him get a grip on you, unless you are a real fighter, he will destroy you.
Steer clear.
He is now manipulating bids and names in my data base, even though all passwords have been changed…
This is illegal practice, and as soon as Arron gets back, I will see what he wants to do, because this action will destroy his business as well through the domino effect.
I will not post anything about the AJAX script, good or bad, until I have a chance to talk to Arron.
I will say this, be careful… Jonathan is a sales rep for AJAX, and once he has your information, he MAY use it against you… He can do anytjhing he wishes with your site…. so just be very careful.
If you are going to buy the AJAX script, buy it directly from Aaron, and have him install it…
