In the article, 10 Effective Ways to Lose Less and Win More Penny Auctions Now I told you that if you want to win penny auctions you may have to spend hours bidding, and it could even mess up your schedule. Often, even if I am able to score a good deal bidding, I’ve found that the time I’ve had to spend makes it not really worth it at times. Lengthy auctions take the “entertainment” out of “entertainment shopping,” (the term the late and first penny auction Swoopo.com coined). Not only do some sites have reset timers that are painfully too long – anything over 30 seconds is painful, IMO, like I’ve said before, I’ve bid on auctions that lasted over 12 hours and I ended up utilizing “buy it now” anyway.
Well, there’s a new penny auction site in the works, PennyOx.com, that tells us they’ve developed “a series of innovations to bring auction length DOWN!, and that they “believe that both penny auction veterans and rookies alike will love these innovations.”
They agree that penny auctions lasting half a day and bidders spending more than an item is worth is unsustainable. We look forward to seeing what PennyOx has in store for us.
In their blog, the soon-to-open penny auction recently shared a video of their logo being painted, pretty cool!
We’re not sure when PennyOx will launch yet, but they do have a pre-launch e-mail update form on their site. We’ll be watching.
