FastPennyCars.com the Penny Auction for New Cars Shuts Down

Yet again, another penny auction has shut down. FastPennyCars.com has been running car penny auctions for a few months now. Their site even got picked up by CNN.com and was on the frontpage for a day. Now after closing 5 vehicle auction, 1 scooter and a number of gift cards they have, as they put it in an  email that was forwarded to us by a member, sent by the CS employee who also posted the shill review in our forum, ceased operations.

A few weeks ago we told you of how they had changed their format for their penny auctions to a minimum bidpack purchase and even limited the bids placed by bidders.

Here is the email that we received:

I regret to inform you due to decreased user participation FASTpennycars.com will be ceasing website operations effective December 21, 2011.

We will be shipping all won products by 12/24/11. Unused penny bids (purchased as a bid pack) will be refunded. Car bid packs will be refunded based on the penny bids spent to win the car pack or the full value if the car pack was purchased directly. All refunds will be issued by 12/31/11 and will appear in your credit card account 7-10 business days following.
