Do you like reveal penny auctions? Also known as Dutch Auctions, reveal auctions are auctions where bidders purchase credits to “peek” at the current price of the item, with each “peek” (click) the price of an item decreases.
ZooGrab.com is a daily deal site similar to that of Groupon or LivingSocial that offers deals and reveal price auctions for local businesses and services in Las Vegas, Seattle, San Jose, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Reno and Sacramento. Currently it looks like their grab auctions are centered around the Sacramento, California and surrounding area.
ZooGrab’s reveal auctions are called “Auction Grabs” and are offered as silver and platinum auctions, with each in the respective categories costing different prices per grab.

One current auction deal is for $40 of salon services at Article Salon Spa in Roseville, CA. When clicking “reveal price” the price is decreased by $0.50 each time, however it’s of my opinion that they should have a larger price decrease to make the offer worth it since their credits start out at $1 each.

You’re definitely right in that both the gold and platinum credit values cost a dollar and are worth one bid, lowering an auction price by 50 cents. However, the $1.00 credit price is actually an incredible value. In addition to revealing auction deals at discounts of 50% or more, each credit used automatically qualifies players to receive a secondary offer once the auction closes. Secondary offers can be anything from additional credits to other discounts, coupons or gift cards to the retailer being auctioned. Everyone walks away a winner!
