I found it interesting to find that today they are offering yet another penny auction for the same cruise. According to the item’s description it appears that Bidsson will have 200 people onboard.
The cruiseship auction is valued at 2,000 euros, $2454 USD. 4 more hours to go on their auction of a brand new Volkswagen Up automobile.

I didn’t win the cruise as I never joined the auctions, but a person I know here in Oslo have won 2 of the cruises, and invited a friend of mine to go with him. There are also cruises on ordinary sale at the Bidify back office (affiliates), as they managed to get a hold on 15 more of them.
I have won three auctions myself: 2 of them I used the sell-back function on and transfered the money to my Bidify account, the last one was a small bid package I used (and lost – can’t win them all).
Another friend won a coffee machine that now has the place of honor in his kitchen. A co-founder in Germany won an Ipod.
So yes, people win, and they get their stuff.
