Ok, since there seems to be alot of discussion based on the free bid spinner at foopile, and this has now traveled over into many threads, I have decided perhaps it is best to simply create a thread where ppl may voice their opinions on this entire subject. First let me first try to explain the free bid spinner: A few weeks ago, we wanted to come up with an idea to add an extra bit of fun an excitement for the users of foopile, in hopes it would get more comming back daily. The free bid spinner was what we came up with. During beta testing, we opened the spinner up to anybody and everybody who registered at foopile. After about a month, we realized it was having an adverse effect. This effect came in the way of ppl comming to foopile JUST for the free spins and while collecting a minimum of 1 bid every day just by showing up, they were not purchasing any bid packs and bidding on items. Basically this means we were standing outside our store handing ppl free money to come in and just wipe us out of merchandise leaving us with nothing. We also felt this was unfair to those who were actually buying bid packs. So.... We decided it was time to make a change. We still wanted to keep the free bid spinner, but only for those who had at least made one bid pack purchase. The only way we could do this was connect the spinner to our purchasing logs. If you won an item and paid for it, or bought a bid pack, we wanted you to be able to enjoy the free bid spinner on a daily basis for as long as you are a member of foopile. The only way to connect the spinner to ppl (who had purchased items) was thru banking and or cc info. If you had at any time entered your bank info to buy bids or pay for an item won, then the spinner would see you as eligible. So now at this point, it was available to anybody who had actually purchased something at foopile. Now this is where the controversy comes in:_______ We decided that if people added their bank info or cc info, they might be more likely to buy a bid pack sooner or later, so we decided to open the free bid spinner to anybody who wanted to add their cc or bank info. So yes, if you want to spin the free bid spinner, banking or cc info is required. There is no malicious intent here, all information is encrypted and only our processors software can read the encryption. And this info will never be transmitted to the processors unless (the user themselves) buy, or pay for something. We just wanted to add something good, and unique that nobody else had, and make it avail to our members. Your bank info is NOT required at foopile to register or play your free bids for registering that we give out to try us out. And I am asking Admin to remove this thread!~ And in fact I am asking admin to remove all your new threads. You seem to have a problem with anybody that has anything negative to say! Users have the right to see the good and bad of the site. Including your attitude. This is no attack just fact!

You hold the record here at PAW for the most opened threads! You continually open new threads to try and avoid what people say unless it suits you.

So it's my understanding, that he created THIS specific thread to "discuss" FURTHER the "OPINIONS" on this subject and will ONLY request admin to REMOVE ANY POST made that directs any kind of ATTACK on ANYBODY. His explanation, continued with which I thought, a thorough one about the Spinner and if anybody had OTHER COMMENTS about it, to CONTINUE HERE with the Spinner issue...

To me, it just seems Jim is trying to SORT these IDEAS or THREADS out by separating them and NOT REMOVING them... you on the other hand, want to REMOVE ALL his new threads where ppl then can't CONTINUE to make their comments. He may have said some "negative" things when felt "personally" attacked and anybody can fall short to this at any given time... HE APOLOGIZED already for that but wants the personal attacks to stop, as you would feel, if you were being attacked or continually reminded of your errors bringing them up and dwelling upon it... you should see the BIGGER picture here and see this is a small PA, just starting, owners, managers etc. are testing the waters to make improvements, troubleshooting and trying to keep their top priority MEMBERS/CUSTOMERS happy because if we're not satisfied, they know we will go else where, so do you think they would want to jeopardize that on purpose? Bidders have a great opportunity to win things, there at ground level, once this gets out, it will be harder and harder to win something... Now, isn't that the REASON you would want to bid on a auction site? What about this spinner giving out FREE bids with the conditions to abide by foopile's rules (which I think, with disclosing and keeping your cc details in their encrypted system, is what I understand started this whole CONTROVERSY) but FREE BIDS, that's GREAT, and I for one, appreciate the FREE bids! But for whatever the reason, you don't like this feature just comment, stating I don't like it because of this rule, it's not transparent enough for me or afraid of having my cc out there, etc etc. it seems he also explained it, why Paul comes up in FL and servers, in I believe was TX etc etc., he's trying to explain everything so ppl could feel assured, if they still don't, they are welcomed to CONTINUE stating QUESTIONS about it, until they DO feel reassured... I can understand how ppl could STILL feel anxy about that, so, it's still their CHOICE, to then NOT have it on file. Go to some other PA then or not play the spinner... But it's foopile's rules and ANY business has the right to have their terms/policy/rules which at MOST part WE have NO SAY SO, in the matter! At least foopile gives us the "opportunity" to do so here and gives us that courtesy to express our viewpoints, so MAYBE they can figure out something better or have US SUGGEST ways of making it better for them to provide SAFER avenues, though they have explained and incorporated already lots of SECURITY measures... All I can say, to add to this, I'm sure, if YOU don't let go about his PETTY attitude in the past, THAT FOR SURE, someone that was robbed or felt their cc was violated in ANY way, by now, it WOULD BE a FEDERAL CASE, would be not only REALLY speaking out their minds here about it but justifiably making personal attacks and foopile probably would be closed! But they are NOT closed and I personally have not read anything to support any FEDERAL CASE violations... We will always have TRUST issues in this world, we live in but somewhere alone the line it's up to us, WHO will we give that trust too and STILL, in reality speaking, it will NEVER be 100% because circumstances change with ANY company, even BANKS, even ourselves, if we lose our jobs, we lose also our credit our house does that make us dishonest, fraudulent etc? Things happen out of our control... But this is so petty, if you don't like Jim, putting these different ideas into different threads, just tell him that, don't bring back up the attitude, he had or what was said... what was said, was said already and he apologized about it, MOVE ON... but I also agree with you, I don't like different threads, I don't have the time to be LOOKING around here to this one and that one etc. it's really a time sucker and confusing for ME but maybe for others, it's not... But come on pauser8 keep your for the bidding and give fpile and Jim a break! Remember, Jim or
fpile don't need to be dedicating time to these open discussion boards, as you know they have other issues to deal with but is that what you really want? I hope not, it's really REAL when you know you could reach them at any given moment, to comment on REAL issues we're faced with or be able to discuss it here...
