Janyce -- That is too funny! I just watched that auction on the Headset and was wondering if that was you. Bots? Definitely! I signed up the other day, immediately wasted my 2 free bids playing with what I thought were Bidder-Bots, things just didn't look quite right. Thought I'd watch one more time before making a final decision. Hope you were working on free bids?

i actually spend $10 on bids, i was bidding on a bid pack, a bid 2 times and then when i wanted to bid again at 3-2 seconds left it didn't took my bid and the auction ended with probably a bot.

Funny how you won that bid pack with 13 bids when there were only 13 bids total placed on the bid pack, unless you were bidding against your self. In addition odd that this is your only post here. Looks like a shill post to me

    Default Bidnox

What can anyone write about BIDNOX.com. They just came back and I already have a bad experience. I won 50 bid packs twice, paid immediately for both, but took them 24 hours to credit 1 of the 2 wins, and that was after 3 e-mails. Several e-mail attempts went unanswered, but when they were - after 48 hours later- I was told that I was being impatient and that they do not credit bids on weekends, I had to wait until Monday. The bid packs were won on the 16th and 17th and today is the 19th, and I'm not being patient by asking for my 50bid credits? What am I doing wrong here? Anyone ever used them? What is/or was experience like after winning their fixed 50bids auction? (Those are the ones that I won). Please let me and others know.

Hi, Joe, I just joined a couple of days ago based on something I read on PAW. I won a couple of bid packs and sent an email tonight asking why they hadn't been credited. Got the same answer about doing credits M-F.

Also, I was pretty far into an auction using the autobid, and I booked another autobid only to have the other bidder take the auction. In other words: the autobid didn't kick in when it should. Bidnox's answer: "No one has ever had a problem with our autobid system." I wrote back and said that was an inadequate answer. Also strange that their autobid system lets you place a single bid (and charges you for it) when the autobid is in place. I asked them to examine their internet records and explain to me why I lost the auction when I DID book an autobid and was sitting at my computer when the auction simply ENDED.

Default Shills and bots on bidnox?

Was watching some auctions on bidnox last night and noticed a strange pattern:

The names seem too much alike: many names always with numbers attached. Also, I've noticed that the same two names/bidders seem to ALWAYS bid on the same products: two distinct bidders for Wii systems, two distinct for a GPS system, three for the iPod. Unless another bidder gets involved, the auctions seem to ALWAYS end at the same price - and at a much lower cost than if another (presumably real person) bidder jumps in.

It seems like too much of a coincidence to me and more than a little fishy. Anyone else on bidnox or notice this?

    Thanks.

    Exclamation Email response to maudeandtessa

Hey everyone! I'm here to try and clear up this issue. First off, there is no shill bidding, that's why we're trying to stick to "lower end" items for the time being

Secondly, you have bought bid packages from BidNox many many times. Why do you only write this now? After you lost 2 auctions? You have won a nice amount of products on BidNox: 2 iPod touches, a Nintendo Wii, a $50 amazon gift card, and more.

It would be a shame to lose you as a customer.

We are currently spending $1200/day in advertising just so we can generate enough competition on the auctions, so that BidNox can become established for its integrity and at the same time make money.

I really do hope you understand and hope we don't lose you as a customer.

Customer satisfaction is our priority please email us again if you have any other concern.

    Thanks,
    Jay

    Default heard back from bidnox

Just heard back from "Jay" at bidnox, who has this to say:

"I'm not sure how you want us to respond, first off there is no shill bidding that's why we try to stick to lower end items. Secondly you have bought bid packages from bidnox many many times why do you only write this now? After you lost 2 auctions?, You have won a nice amount of products . It would be a shame to lose you as a customer. But I'm not here to pursued you otherwise.

We are currently spending $1200/day in advertising just so we can generate enough competition on the products so bidnox can legitimately make money.

I really do hope you understand and hope we don't lose you as a customer.
Customer satisfaction is our priority please email us again if you have any other concern.

    Thanks,
    Jay"*****************
    My response:

    Dear Jay,

I asked you two questions that you keep skirting:

    1. What happened with my autobid? I was shut out of the auction when I had placed an autobid and I also tried to bid manually.
2.. How does it happen that so many of the same two/three "names" are always paired in auctions and auctions for the same products almost always end at the same price? (Unless there's a real bidder, like me) and then the products go higher.

They are fairly straightforward questions and legitimate concerns. I'll post your response on the PAW thread. I'm not the only one on that site to observe that your bidders seem to be bots.

Perhaps it would be better all around if you would respond to me on that thread, as a matter of public record.

    Thanks."

    Default To Jay from Bidnox

    Jay,

I edited out the actual products I won. Period.

I'm sure everyone reading these threads would like to know why you can't answer these questions, as would I:

    1. What happened with my autobid? I was shut out of the auction when I had placed an autobid and I also tried to bid manually.
    2. How does it happen that so many of the same two/three "names" are always paired in auctions and auctions for the same products almost always end at the same price? (Unless there's a real bidder, like me) and then the products go higher.

    **************
Shills was incorrect; I meant bots. Same names, many auctions end at the same prices, competing bids always kicking in at the same time at the timer kickdown.

I have yet to pay for a couple of products I won. Will do so and will be sure to post here whether I actually receive them. I will decline any bidpacks I won and don't want the ones I've paid for. I have too many concerns about the legitimacy of your site at this point.

Default Pretty Sure Its A Scam And Bots

Bidnox.xom is another one of those penny auction sites where you can lose a lot of money. There are some very legit penny auction sites out there that I have won items from and felt I was being treated fairly.

I decided to try Bidnox.com and from the start they seemed fishy. The user names of people bidding are very suspicious and look made up, a lot with numbers in the name.

    some of the user names/bots:

    123sammy
    Maciej0312
    Setelf67
    Kroetenkind
    Elsienna18
    Tatofredy
    Nighti88
    Lemoge11
    Jkcan09
    Cinek83
    Cnvenrfio
    Willow551
    Doc125
    Atom0913
    Trixi101
    Kan122
    Marauder69
    March13

there was a bid going on between two "users" by the names of: Jhaspray and Jkwyeung, pretty alike?

12 other auctions, all for gift cards, every one of those auctions were being bid on by Futonenotto and Bestbuy11....Futonenotto won 11 of those and Bestbuy11 just one, both users were likely bots

all of these user names make no sense and there are other complaints about this site elsewhere, but few since it has only been in business since july of 2009

the site is more than likely using bots which automatically bid against you and there would be no chance of winning, their actions are pretty clear when you watch the site and bids. always two people or "bots" bidding and a lot of the same accounts at all times of the day.

    the site is registered to:
    yitzchak vrahimy
    5014 16th ave #388
    brooklyn, New York 11204
    United States

you pay through paypal but to a guy by the name of: aryeh simkin

So who is JAY then that posted "Hey everyone! I'm here to try and clear up this issue. First off, there is no shill bidding, that's why we're trying to stick to "lower end" items for the time being"

"lower end items"...please, they have wii, ipods, high end cameras and mp3 players for auctions!

i have reported Bidnox.com to Paypal and ripoffreport.com

bidnox also never repsonds to emails when questioning their site or practices

DO NOT bid at this site

Stay with the trusted one's...bidrodeo, bidblink etc.

    Default Jay from bidnox

forbor: Jay is the bidnox rep who answered my email when I asked about my failed autobid and what appear to be bots on the site. He never really answered either question. I'm trying to get my money back from American Express, which I used via PayPal.

Today, I couldn't access the site at all. Don't know what this means.

ohh, ya i had the same problem in that my auto bidder did not start and the auction stopped a penny short of where my autobidder should have started. also a user/bot by won an ipod twice within 14 hours. after seeing the obvious shill bidding and complaints filed with the NY attorney generals office last week, i emailed them with my complaint and findings and they refunded my purchase via paypal, but i have also filed a complaint with paypal to let them know about bidnox. its to bad that they have to do what they are doing, but we live in that type of world.

im just sticking to bidrodeo and bidblink

    they refunded all my money

looks like they maybe done...only two auctions left and none planned for the future

i think the fact that they have been legally reported is stopping them...who knows

i suggest anyone who has spent money with them to open a dispute with paypal and let them know that aryeh simkin is taking money for bidnox and the site is using illegal practices

Hi, where did you see the complaints filed with the NY Attorney General's Office? Couldn't find it on that website? Have filed a complaint with PayPal so will see what happens there.

    Thanks

The point is: The site seems clearly to be a scam. Review the past auctions, the bidders' "names," and the ending prices.

im not sure where i saw the link but it should be at he NY attorney generals site

however i did receive an email from a "joe" asking for me to remove their names from ripoffreport.com

if you buy bids from them it goes through paypal and you pay somone by the name of aryeh simkin, so i was asked to remove that name from the report because he is upset that when he googles his name the report comes up

not to get into a racial thig here, but between the guy taking money names being aryeh simkin and the register being under a yitzchak vrahimy these guys are not american decesnt and def. out to scam, they could have at least made the usernames for original lol

but no more auctions on their site and this "joe" guy said he has refunded everyone's bids

theyll probabaly start another site, but i encourage anyone that comes accross a bid site that seems iffy...to let me know, i am willing to put up money to test their system and get an experience then go from there....as i did with bidnox

Hi, Is it possible to post the email from "Joe" on this site? It may be something I can use in my PayPal dispute - because I sure haven't gotten any refund yet. Thanks.

Hi, Thanks for posting that. I filed on ripoffreport yesterday and used both the partners' names. After all, the one guy received all the PayPal payments! No one from bidnox has responded to PayPal as yet.

    What a headache.

    Thumbs down More on bidnox

Forbor, hope you don't remove their names. Have just filed this follow-up report on ripoff.com:

As a follow-up to my original report, PayPal seems incapable of investigating any claims that are non-eBay related (even though they accept money from buyers and send them to merchants such as bidnox). My numerous claims are now back being investigated by American Express.

In the midst of my PayPal complaints, the merchant has changed its name from bidnox to Entrepreneurs LLC.

They have not refunded my money. They have not sent any of the products I allegedly "won" at bidnox. In addition, I had 132 unused bids (worth approximately $132). They have "suspended" my account (no email to me on this, I only found this out by accessing their site) and they seem to be keeping that money as well.

The contact person is still [email protected]. Per a posting on pennyauctionwatch,
    bidnox.com also owns dealwonders.com

A bidnox rep keeps asking the poster on pennyauctionwatch to remove their names from ripoff report.

    Hi all
Im new here and wasnt certain where to post a few questions I have... So thought this was as good a place as any... Ive only recently discovered penny auctions... And have been reading quite a few of the threads on here, but Im a bit confused about a few things... Was hoping some, or a bunch on this forum could clear a few things up...
Ive read alot about shil betting and it seems that some here have referred to "erratic" bidding as a way to identify... But watching sites... It ALL seems erratic... I sat and watched a 65" flatscreen sell for a bit over $9.00, 15 minutes later a 100 bid "pack" sold for over $20.00. It doesnt get more erratic than that. And that was on one of the top 2 or 3 sites...
Also... HOW do people "collude" on auctions? I mean... Even if 2 people are sitting side by side with laptops... Hoe does that possibly help them?
Also, after reading the article re: dire state of pa... HOW rampant are bidders that file chargebacks even after winning items? And since there would be a clear paper trail of merchandise, how wouldnthey POSSIBLY prevail? It seems the ONLY time someone could successfully get a chargeback is if they hadnt received any merchandise...
Any feedback regarding these questions would be greatly appreciated

    PS...
Why on earth would the owner of a PA care if people are reselling items? Seems to me they would promote it...
Thanks again for any and all attempting to clear these things up
