    Talking Sellmoo.com

    Hey Folks,

Sellmoo.com will be officially launching Friday night (Feb 26th). We hope to see all you PAW members there for opening night, we have the auctions up now for you guys to check out and we may add some more depending on how many members we get. Also a few features we have that you guys may like-

    • Live chat support- We try to be available whenever possible, especially when auctions are about to end.
    • Win limits- 8 per 30 days.
    • A points system- Think a cash back credit card.
    • A community rating system- Here Sellmoo post a product(s) we have sold and you guys can write a review on your experience with that product and Sellmoo.
    • Buy it now- majority of our auctions will have a "buy it now" feature so your bids never go wasted.
If you have any questions visit our contact page or see if we are available on live chat.

Thank you and we hope to see everyone there!

PS. You may notice a few small glitches today, we are still finishing a few things and also the site will be down tonight(Feb 25th) at 12am PST for a few hours.

I apologize, I dont fully understand you. Yes, it has been a very long time since we started to develop the site and we did run into numerous problems. Are you saying the site is crashing now for you? If so please let us know.

Yes, it may take a little time for the bonus bids to show up right now, we are manually adding them for the time being.

I used to be a powerbidder, but now I just make mental bids. That’s how I lost my mind.

Why Buy Now Product too expensive.

    • Nintendo Wii Console with Wii Sports
    • Worth up to: $199.99
    • Buy This Product Now
    • Buy Now Discount: $00
    • Your Purchase Price: $239.99
And are there no Credit Card payment inside Paypal?

Hello, unfortunatley Sellmoo does not do enough volume to be able to offer lower prices on some of our buy it now items, you will notice the same practice on other penny auctions that offer this feature.

Also, you can enter your credit card after you enter our Paypal gateway, you do not have to log into paypal. We are also in the middle of implementing another payment processor to give you guys more options.

I noticed that you offered buy now option on bid pack option. So will these bids be counted towards purchasing other buy now items.Because if one get a buy now option for bid pack basically all these become 100% risk free.I failed to understand your revenue on those.

Also the buy now option for the wii seems reasonable to me.you need to make money to run the site as well.I think if you can extend buy now option for gift card with a separate 10-15% buy now fees that will be great for average bidder where they won't mind loosing 10-15% of item value and more than willing to take the risk on those auction.

Im am not following you on your first paragraph, can you please clarify?

And that is a good idea on the gift cards, I think we will start implementing that on future auctions.

As you offered buynow on bidpack so that is a complete riskfree auction for everyone as the buynow price is same as the item value. So everyone can do a buy now those bid pack if they loose in that auction and that won't cost them any more.

Suppose i spent 1 bid and won the 100 bidpack. Now for the wii auction I spent 100 bids and loose. Will you consider those 100 bid i spent as worth of $50 in calculating buy now price. In swoopo/quibids they don't take that value in to account(bids won in bid pack or buy as buy now option has 0 (buy now price)) where as in bigdeal.com they have same value as that of bids you buy directly in the form of bid pack.

BidPacks won or bought using the buy it now option will keep their value when purchasing other products using buy it now or when using them in auctions in general. I am going to add this to the FAQ now, this is a very good question.

It doesnt seem fair to win a bid pack and not be able to use them like normal bids. And yes, bid pack auctions are 100% risk free.

Great point Rocky. I think a lot of people don't realize that the bid packs that are being auctioned are actually not worth the same as a bid that is purchased. I have no problem if they make that rule, and I think it keeps the power bidders in check a bit so they can't get cheap bids on auctions and apply them to buy it now, but these sites should be clear about the rules.

BidOMOP, using buy it now does not alter the value of the bids, if you bid then use buy it now to purchase a BidPack of 100 bids for $50, the bids are still worth $0.50, the same as if you just purchased a BidPack of 100 normally.

edit* I think I miss understood you, are you referring to bid packs that are won from an auction?

Ok, were back, sorry about that guys. Also the timers are going to be reset back to where they are supposed to (minus the amazon gift card), right now they are ending too late.

    Anyways, back to business

I still feel timers are not running properly. Please check properly .Its better to stop auction today rather than providing a bitter taste to your bidder. There are still issues to be ironed out. Today already i had a bitter experience with bidfirework ,don't want to experience that again in the same day. Please verify about this timer thingy to make sure a perfect opening.

Looks like the last auction (# 78) didn't quite work right time wise, the final bidder jumped in with about 2, maybe 1 second left and the auction ended rather than the time going up.

You are correct gront.I won the last auction and surprised.Clearly this was a glitch in the system and I became the winner. I would leave sellmoo to take a decision here.Since last 2-3 hour I keep on posting about their site and it does not look right to me. I am open to receive the card as well as if the auction voided I am ok too.Lets see sellmoo's version. Also I would like them to stop auctioning remaining item. You don't want to spend 3-4 hour on an auction to get it voided due to the glitches.

Ok guys, due to an error on the registration and buy bids page we are pausing the auctions until tomorrow night. This is the only way to give everyone a fair chance at bidding.

    Hi Guys,

I am sure you are all aware of the earth quake in Chile, this earth quake also affected Argentina. One of Sellmoo's developers lives in Argentina, we have not heard from them yet, we have seen reports of power outages there, but we do not know how it has impacted them. We are hoping and praying he and his family have not been affected. This may affect Sellmoo running auctions today, we will keep you updated.

    Thank you.

Rockybiduser, we have decided to award you the auction you have won. We did not receive and complaints that the auction time not reseting upon your bid and the timers are working correctly tonight. If we do receive any complaints we will deal with them on a case by case basis, either way you will still be awarded you win upon final payment.

Okay so in 2 of the currently running auctions it says they are "nail biter" auctions which have no autobidder... says you can't place them, yet in both of them someone is currently using autobidder and outbid me instantly with it. But I can't set an autobidder myself! How can this be? Not fair!

It is the LG tv and the $100 Best Buy gift card auctions.

That's interesting yeah mine was different. I confirmed it several times last night. It showed a little "nail biter" logo right next to the "1 cent" logo on the top of the auction page and it said autobidder was disabled for those auctions (and it was not available for me to set), yet others had running autobidders.

I would like an explanation for this.

Yeah because that is very strange. Mine didn't have a nail biter symbol at all. I hope we will receive the bids back we used on the canceled auctions soon?
