Hey Guys..

So as most of you know we have been limited by paypal and they have decided that we are too much of a risk by selling bids and cash.

Sooo they have decided to close our paypal account

They used the excuse that they are no longer going to work with penny auctions as they are looked at as a form of online gambling blah blah blah..

Mabey Penny auctions are becoming too much of a competition with ebay (who owns paypal by the way)

So this is their final choice. ok fine..

so what is next?

We are going to offer 2 or 3 different payment options and they are going to be setup this weekend.

Visa/mastercard/American Express
netteller
moneybookers

these are just to start and we will be adding more once everything gets back to normal

What we are going to do is pause the auctions until this is setup. It is not fair for bidders to allow the auctions to go on if they can not reload on bids if they start running low during an auction.

All of the auctions should be back up and running by tuesday.

Most of our products have been shipped already, but if you have won in the last few days, rest assured that you will receive your products. It is going to take a bit longer as paypal has frozen our money as well and will no longer allow us to purchase products with these funds.

Luckily we do have other funds to take care of this, but as i mentioned it will take longer than normal

Bidash is growing very fast and becoming a very popular penny auction so we are not going anywhere. They are trying to beat us down, but we are going to come back even stronger and they won't be receiving any cut.

Please post here if you have any questions and i would be happy to answer them. I will be posting updates here daily on the status.

I am deeply sorry about this guys.. it is completely out of our control. we just need to roll with the punches.

I am sorry to hear but it is no surprise with what Paypal is doing these days.

I definitely will stick with you and have no worries about your short/medium/long term intentions.

Hit the 3 limit and have received all items in less than 10 days.

Now I will wait patiently for the other items that I have been fortunate enough to win since the win limit upgrade.

Thanks for the positive feedback tgg611. Paypal claims that they will be doing this with all of their penny auctions sites (including beezid and swoopo) They just know they have a much bigger fight with them.

We are still shooting for our target date of Tuesday afternoon, but i will keep you updated on the status.

Sorry for the delay. We are still working on the merchant info.

I mentioned in the email that the people who won right before we had the paypal issue, would receive their products a few days later than normal.

You should start seeing items arrive late this week early next week.

I want to thank everyone for their patience. Everything is in order to open tomorrow. We have everything setup, but are working the bugs out. We want to have everything working perfect.

The auction schedule will be reset to normal and there will be a few auctions that are showing now that will be pushed back a few days.

If there is an auction that you have bid on and notice the auction no longer appears on the site, be confident that the bids have been refunded for that auction.

We have you down for a $100 Visa Gift Card, $50 Home Depot Card and a Fuji Finepix Camera.

I am sorry for the delay in products as i mentioned before. We had an issue with paypal that froze our funds that were being used to purchase these products. We have worked out other ways to pay for the products.

This past week has been really crazy trying to fix the paypal problem and working with them to access these funds.

1/2 of the remaining products have been shipped yesterday and the remaining 1/2 will be shipped today. It took us by surprise when all of this happened and had to scramble to resolve all of the issue.

We really appreciate your patience.
You should be able to contact me later in the day for tracking info on all of your products.

Yes we looked into moneybookers, but aren't they only used in Europe? or is it used in the US as well? It might be a good solution too.


Also we have tried to contact everyone with an outstanding win.

Hey guys!

Well it is taking longer than expected for the merchant account to get implemented and there were still 1 or 2 bugs on friday, so we decided it would be better to open after the weekend and have all the bugs worked out first. When it comes to payments, we want to get everything perfect so there are no problems with our new merchant.

We have taken care of Every outstanding won auction. We have been working with each winner offering them visa gift cards or the won items.

We are trying to go out of our way to make everyone feel comfortable during this pause.

I would appreciate when someone receives their items just to simply post that they received it. This helps with any doubts about us reopening and running a good business.

Believe me.. This is Very Frustrating for us

Well we are really excited to get going again today.. (finally)

There are a few changes that took place in the last week

1. The free auctions for the bid packs will go in increments of 2 cents per bid to save everyone's fingers from going numb.

2. The Win limits have been lifted to 5 wins per 7 day rolling period.

Some people have questions about which day the week starts and when they can bid again.
It doesn't work like that. Each win starts the 7 day countdown, so if you win 1 auction on Monday at 5:00pm you will be able to win 4 more auctions that week until the next Monday.

You can check your win limits in you admin panel and you will see all of the details there.

3. We are offering a 15% bonus for all bid packages purchased today until midnight. Use coupon code: reload

I just wanted to clarify something about the win limits that i have been receiving many email about.

The free auctions for the bid packs do not count toward your win limits. You can win 100 of those per week and still win 5 live auctions.
