It's Snaglo.com I contacted them a few days ago for info but they haven't replied. They claim they've been featured on Forbes, Reuters etc. but is that just a paid PR post? Not sure I will have to look into it soon. Let us know what you guys find out. Thanks, PAW
I believe that the more penny auction bidders that come together and post their honest experiences, exposing the shady-scam penny auction sites, the less and less shady-scam sites will stop being the majority in the penny auction industry. Stand with me.

h gosh i am so sorry i misread lol
thank you pennyauctionwatch

I'd watch it for a while before investing. The timing of the bids looks very strange and unpeoplelike (I think I made up a new word). I watched 2 different auctions and bids were always placed at 1-2 seconds. Very unusual for that many people to bid with the exact same timing. Also, I'd swear I saw some of those names on one of the scam sites (can't remember which one). Just be careful!
Some time I place bid 1 or 2 seconds too. I guess this doesn't meaning scam...
This website has the signs of a scam.
The website has a 1 second refresh. That means if someone bids it should show in 1 second. I watched 3 auctions all being bid over and over at the 1-2 second mark in uniform. That is probably a shill program.
Anytime you see a bid out of sync, thats probably a real person.
I could be wrong.
Don't even try, trust me.
Don't try that website. If you see the categories page you will find no images, That says the website is poorly designed and from day 1 if they can attract many crowds then they might be shill bidding.I saw a auction and the timing between two bidders is exactly same for close to 15 mins. Is it possible for two bidders to place bids in that fashion?
NOTE:- All are different bidders !
I guess they are on to yahoo search. I was looked for new penny auction site and see they are top of penny auction serch. Must be spend lot of money to Pay per click.
Hi I am a newbie here, I have been lurking and doing some reading , lots of good info here.I can tell you after seeing Snaglo advertised on TV I went and gave it a try. Did not even know about these sites until then. So I signed up bought bids and bought bids again. The only thing I have won was more bids two times LOL.Needless to say I have spent a good amount of money and have nothing to show for it. They set a win limit of 12 a month, however if you look through the winners alllllllllll of the high end items are being taken almost by the same people. The is one there that at my last count won double the win limit !!!!!!!! and when I do bid its always the same names that bid against me.As soon as I stop bidding that person wins ..........go figure !!! I have sent plenty of emails asking why certain ones get to go over their win limit and still no response so I can say very poor customer support,I can also say once these bids are gone so am I !!!!!!!!!!!
I also forgot to watch the shipping, like the 37 inch TV's shipping is 140.00 add in the bid amounts the price you pay and shipping........You can almost do the same at your local store.
Just another heads up I had quite a few bids left there ( Snaglo), and was gonna try and get the garmin for my hubby( with as much as I have spent at that site could have bought him , my kids my mom and grandmother one) I had sat there for a couple hours biding here and there I bid at 3 seconds and they ended it, to another bidder. So I have sent them another email that I am sure will go unanswered like all the rest. I have a handful of bids left but I will not be back.Makes me sick at the money I have spent at these sites and only have won 4 gift cards that thanks to zoozles shipping will not be in my hand till after hubby's b-day!!!!!!!!!!!! So snaglo bidders beware !
We e-mailed Snaglo when they first opened to see if they wanted to answer some questions, they never responded.

They refunded my bids and even sent two emails I am shocked. I will feel them out some more with the bids they refunded and see what happens. They told me they were sorry I felt that way. I have sent many emails since I have been bidding there and this was my first response so we will see and I will keep you all posted.
Still nothing, no gift card win nadda !!! But hey on a high note someone with the name snagloisaScam did win some bids LOL.
Maybe it is just me things go cheap till I bid but let me get in there and HELLO.Maybe I should change my name to UgottaBkiddingMe. It is always the same names to bid against you, they never win there is different names for thoseStill a few more bids left, I know I will not bid on tvs as the shipping being over 100 but will countinue to play it out and see.Wow did I waste many many weeks on this site.
Thank you(s) for above posts.
I'd like to say that snaglo.com should be shunned. The shoddy site screams SCAM. Unfortunately, some people are inherently gullible, please I mean absolutely no disrespect here, and will hand over their money to these bottom feeders. (Paying per bid? I hang my head in disgust to the thoughts of exploitation that could occur here.)
They are starting to run commercials for snaglo where i live. The fact that they have suckered enough people out of their money to afford them... kind of scares me.
First off, I watched the commercial multiple times and went online to check it out. One thing that stood out immediately, and one of the first reasons that got me thinking this site was a scam, is the fact that nothing is clearly explained on any of main pages. There is a bidding process explanation on the opening page but it, um, lacks a few details. Like the price PER bid!?!
Second, the few minutes I spent navigating the site I could not find the cost of the services. The fact that you need to voluntarily give them information before cost is stated, to me, is a No-No. But it seems like a good way to collect information and then email you to death. J
Third, some more stuff… I did notice something about an “Auto-Snagger Bidâ€. Could be the reason for the “botâ€-like bids? With this said, could it mean something along these lines… They use these “bots†and set them to bid up to a certain amount when an auction is listed, thus acting similar to a reserve.
From the search results on Google this topic does not seem to have the real gossip it disserves. Please get the word out and get this crap shutdown.
^
This is only my opinion.

Okay final result, bids have been used up still no wins not even a gift card. Did not bid on a bid pack this time as those are the ones they will let you win and I dang sure do not want any more of their bids!!!!!!. A few hundred dollars spent and nothing so I will now cancel my account and never look back.
I'm surprised to see so many negative comments about snaglo. I joined the site a few weeks ago and I've won a few really nice items, like an iPod Touch and a camera.
It's true that you have to buy bids in order to participate in auctions. You don't get money back if you use bids and don't win the item. It's a risk you have to take if you want a chance to win things at a low price. I saw a laptop sell for a couple of dollars. But taking the rick is part of the fun. It's like playing the lottery. You have to spend money to buy a lottery ticket for a chance to win millions. You don't get your money back if you don't win the lottery!
Give it a chance. It's fun and like I said, I got some great deals already. I plan to continue to use this site.
Kep..Just wondering....are you affiliated with Snaglo?
I have a feeling another PAW expose might be coming soon...I mean thanks for posting Kep.
Not affiliated...I just like it.
It's not for everyone. I showed it to some friends who didn't care for it.
Just throwing in my two cents.
I won a few items from snaglo (remote control car, bid voucher, Mac Book Pro LCD Monitor and MP3 player) and got all item already in my hand.
Watching out for the listing price though, most of small items you can find cheaper from amazon without risking your bid for bigger items. So always check the price of the product and plan carefully against how many bids and time you want to use. Oh shipping cost should be one factor too. They tend to
jump up it shipping cost.
Recently snaglo has a promotion for first win got all bids back which discourages others bidders who already won like to stay away for the site for now.
Updated on Sun Dec 6th
It went crazy: one guy named "madbids700" insanely bid all big items with tons of bids (more than 5k at least). He eventually won "Apple MacBook Pro MB990LL/A 13.3-Inch Laptop" by using 2668 bids. It is totally a strange week for snaglo. I hope madbids700 is real. Now I am thinking of a exit strategy. Too bad I still 400 bid left.
Updated on Friday Dec 18th
I have not gotten my 22 inches TV yet since I won and paid on Nov 30th, sent the email to 'em and got a response stating that they contacted with their supplier about the issue.

Hi,
I'm a new user at Snaglo. I use the exact same user name there as I'm using here. Been there since the end of November and already threw alot of money towards the site.
Penny auctions are what they are. A gamble. I knew, when getting into this site, that I could possibly lose money and bids. I was also aware that Snaglo inflates shipping charges a bit. These are things that everyone MUST look at before jumping into sites like these.
Samlert is right though. I was also majorly freaked out last week when madbids700 went mad crazy and bid on alot of auctions. One of those bids ended in over 2k bids and my jaw dropped when I seen he went that far with that laptop.
I guess you can say that I did the same with the Panasonic Consumer 42" PDP TV. I spent 1300+ bids on that one auction. Stayed in front of my laptop from 7pm till 5am just to make sure I got the damn thing. In the end, I got the TV for 1% off. Although, I spent all that money on all those bids, I got them back due to their December promotion. It was the first auction I won in from Dec. 3 to the 25th, therefore, all those bids were refunded a few hours after I paid the auction off. Madbids700 didn't qualify for the same refund that I did. He won an auction not long before that Mac laptop. I would have never put up that many bids if I knew I wasn't getting them back. It's possible that he didn't want to lose his money after putting up over 1k in bids.
I've also won 2 cameras off their web site in November. Within a couple of days the status went from 'Paid' to 'Ready to Ship'. It's been 14 days and they are still in the 'Ready to Ship' status. I mailed Snaglo's customer service and received a reply the next day on Dec 10, 09.
The email said:
"We have ordered both of the cameras from our suppliers and we are waiting to get a shipping confirmation and tracking information from them.
When these and the TV ship out you will get an e-mail with a confirmation number."
At least I got a mail back from someone on the very next day. From what I've read, with some penny sites, I'm very lucky to get an email back at all.
In hindsight, I wish I would have found your site sooner. I might have chosen a different penny auction site after reading some reviews. It's nice to hear that samlert got his items in hand. It was the only thing I was worried about after waiting these 14 days for it to ship.
I'll keep you guys posted when I get my items. It looks like I have alot of bids to spend after going ape on that TV yesterday morning. As long as I get my stuff, I'll have no complaints. I knew what I was getting into when I signed up. I'll keep this board posted on my progress.
:-).. Been there done that for staying long hours with throwing bids left and right.
Don't worry to much on shipment. Eventually you will get it. It might take awhile.
Just send 'em email back and then they will email you back with tracking number. Good luck
I'm seeing alot of mixed reviews on snaglo and of course I want to answer with the best help I can because I do not feel anyone has really been suckered on this site but I may have some doubts about the organization of the company.
I was introduced to snaglo by the pastor in my church who went and bid on a Nintendo Wii. He actually did this early November and but with after 17 dollars, he won the bid. A week later he did receive his prize so I got curious watching a few items I wouldn't mind and bought ALOT of bids, way too many and I played the game very wrong losing some of my bids and wasting money.
After awhile (this past week), I figured out the game and won an Ipod nano, which to my knowledge has been shipped. Customer service did contact me and tell me that they may not ship the item via USPS so they did ask for a street address which I kindly gave, and it is en route, but I did find out they did honor sending it USPS. I also used up the rest of my bids (that I won back from my first auction win) and bought a PS3 for a very cheap price and a ipod touch for a little more than the ps3. I paid them off and they are ready to ship. I'm still uncertain about the site (ord any other penny auction site)cause of course any penny auction is dangerous when you spend alot of money and not win anything. I just had to figure out how to play the game.
I agree madbids700 is a little fishy. I haven't figured out if it is an employee for the site upping the price so they can get a little extra profit or if it is a certain company that is destined to buy alot of items so they can turn around and ebay it for it's original price, or sell it in their stores. I have went up against a Hunting store, which I researched, over a camera and that guy fought hard and won, but I have also went up against madbids700 while playing the game right and beat him so whoever it is, can be beat.
I'll let you guys know when I receive the items. I don't want you guys to feel I'm affiliated with the site because I'm not, I have my ups and downs with them too, but I do want you to hear a truthful honest statement.
Hey guys,
Just an Update. 4 Days ago I received my first item. The Cannon 10mp EOS Rebel. It was shipped by FedEx and arrived on a Saturday.
As described by Snaglo, item was brand new, in original packaging. I never got a conformation code or tracking number from Snaglo or their supplier.
How long does it take for snaglo to ship? About 14 days. Item no. 2 should be arriving today or tomorrow. I really hope my TV comes in the day before X-mas. It would be perfect timing and a really great treat. I guess the day after X-mas would be just as good though.
Hey Qball111, Yes, the Rebel was my first item. I think I spent somewhere near 300 bids on that item. All I did was buy bids and Auto-Snagged the hell out of it till everyone else quit.
I realize that this is not the most cost efficient way to win an item. I played this one the same way I played the TV. I was getting these bids back and it didn't matter how much I bid on the item. I guess I was a little lucky that it ended at 300 or so bids.
Not a good strategic move on my part cause now I have over 1500 bids to spend and don't know what to spend them on, hah.
I've seen one user 'funforme' win the 42" TV with 2 bids and only 7.00$ to pay for it. I guess it's just being at the right place, right time, with the right users. I've been playing the game like a fool compared to 'funforme'. Maybe I'll figure out a better strategy by the time my 1500 bids are spent.
Good luck on getting your Rebel Qball. I'm not sure you'd want to follow what I did. I feel kinda silly for it now. lol.
I was just on today and noticed that there are no shipping charges on any of the auctions anymore. I wonder what that's all about? I hope it's not a mistake or anything because that would be really nice!
So basically what I'm getting from people is that Snaglo is a scam.
Some of you may have won legit items, but I think the bid system is definitely faulty from personal experience. I had bid on the first apple holiday package when it first arrived around after thanksgiving, and I placed my bid well before 2 seconds before the auction ended, however it gave me a "your bid was placed' message, then the next thing I see "Auction Ended". I think their refresh rate is screwy or something is up. Maybe they pause the bidding for a few seconds for certain people to win. Maybe they let their bots win, I don't know. In return, I disputed the transaction through PayPal thinking it was a scam, saying "item was not as described". PayPal said I should have filed it as "item not received" but due to the intangible delivery of bids, they couldn't do anything.
Another thing is that they had a promotional $50 amazon gift card advertised if you bought so many bids around thanksgiving. Well, it's been over 2 weeks and I haven't received any amazon gift card, snaglo has suspended my account with remaining bids left on my account nonetheless. I e-mailed them yesterday with this through their on site contact form,
My account has been suspended, but I have not been notified why. I am currently receiving advertisements from Snaglo as well. Please stop. I am currently in the process of disbarring your use of PayPal merchant processing payments due to your fraudulent website. Thank you.
And they replied with this:
You already disputed the charges 2 weeks ago and that is why your account is deactivated. We are currently filing a claim in small claims court.
Happy Holidays,
Snaglo
So, now I replied with this:
Snaglo,
That is fine, but I demand a refund for the bids that you have stolen from me by closing my account. I have also not received the $50 amazon gift card as advertised on your website when purchasing bids through your promotional period. As I said, I don't want the $50 gift card if you can give me a partial refund. I will accept a refund of $187, half of the original purchase price for this matter to be closed. You may choose to pursue through small claims court, but if you do, I will make this public.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas,
Justin Adkins
I'm hoping for some sort of positive resolution, but I can only hope. I'm glad that at least a few are having some good experiences with Snaglo, but beware and be cautious.

Snaglo.com is a legitimate company with hundreds of successful winners. We are sorry that you did not have a positive experience with our site. We take the integrity of our company very seriously and take offense to calling us a "scam". We do invite suggestions and thank you for your comments.
Snaglo
I kind of have some really good feedback on Snaglo.com now. I won three items in the past few weeks (a ipod nano, ipod touch, and ps3) and I got the ipod nano in today. Brand new like the company says.
I am sort of curious and wondering what it will be like when I see the rest of my items cause I took notice that my item was shipped via Amazon.com so I'm wondering if this is the case. If Snaglo is a second party buyer to Amazon. Seems creative to me!
I have a blast last night in winning for a Kindle. I saw advertisement about
first winner during dec 3rd to dec 25th gets all bids back. Then I saw a kindle last night with a few bidders with single-bid battle then I decided to jump in.
And all the sudden, one of big bidders (don't mind if they spend more in order to get an item) used auto bid battle with me for hours (from 8 pm to almost 1am).
After the crazy battle was over, I end up with using tons of bids and thanks god, he gave up.
My battle was not over yet, there are a few bidders trying to snag the kindle from me by the hope that I might fall sleep or something. Wrong move for 'em I won't give it up that easy. Eventually it was over around 2.15 am. It was fun and exhausted battle but never again I would do this.
Lessons from this auction
1. Read the history of close auctions and their bidders.
2. Read the pattern of bidders, If they try to go crazy with bids, save your bid and move on the another auction.
3. 1 bid trick to win the big item is that you have to watch and wait for auto bidder being against each other and after they are done, you can use a few bids to test your chance.
4. never bid for long hours. It makes you nuts unless you win
Happy Holidays you all
Snaglo Customer Service is kind enough to refund all my bids back in a second after I send 'em email requesting that.
Congratulations on the win for the kindle. I noticed you won it. I went after the Nikon camera tonight and won it but I used alot of bids to get it. I like wearing them down. Honestly, yeah I'm still paying ALOT. but, you know. I could pay the full price of the camera so might as well spend that. I have 49 bids left so I'm playing slowly on a Flip UltraHD. From the bid histories of them before they don't go for big so who knows, may get it, and for all the concerts I go to, might as well use it to get some great videos. I'm really happy with the service Snaglo is giving me. I receieved my ps3 today and ipod touch so everything is in. Now I have to wait for a Nikon.
Yeah I was going for the Rebel but seems like they stopped with that one, but honestly I heard the Nikon is a way better camera. Who knows!
Congratulations on your win too. Camera is not my thing to bid against with. So you could save some bids to against me :-).. Happy holidays and enjoy your won items.

Congrats on that camera...I tried for it too, lol. Glad to see there are more people who like snaglo.
Anyway, I just got my set of iPod speakers. I'm so glad they got here in time for Christmas!
I'm going try for some more things now that they have free shipping.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Well, I just lost a little chunk of cash at snaglo and have to recomend ppl stay away. Not because they scam, which I can't say for sure, but there are more and more auctions coming up showing winners who spent more on bids than the product they won cost.
To me this more than likey says the site is now too popular after advertising on TV to get a good deal. I researched items I wanted in the winners list and saw what things were going for a few weeks ago.
By the time I went in to bid at those same pricepoints things just kept going for more and more, especially the bid packages and electronics.
One thing is apparent. This industry needs to be regulated. This site is a good first step.
