Hi PAW! Just letting you know I've been playing on Picklebid this week and have won three things. They give you three free bids (possibly enough to win a rookie auction) It's pretty cool, they so far have 15, 25 and 50$ gift cards, headphones, digital photo frames, etc. They are trying out some daytime auctions as well as night. Oops, make that 4, I just won a target gift card! Shipping is cheap. I'll post back when I receive my stuff, although one win was an e-gift card to Target, and I got that in about 5 minutes. They also give reward points to buy stuff.

No, I'm not affiliated with them, I've been a PAW member for about 6 months, but since win limits are one per day right now, everybody can win, plus I'd like a good site that has auctions that aren't only 6-10 pm to stay around- they'll need bidders for that. And you can win "terrified pickles, which is hilarious!

Anyway, just sharing the wealth - go win ali

I knew I should have gone to bed early and not read this thread. Ohhh snap, there I go! Thanks for the replies! I am working to stream line the shipping and just ordered some additional shipping supplies for the Home Office so I can get these Cards/Items out even quicker.

BTW: Did you guys see the Pickle Soap and Terrified Pickles? Just put up the Soap, I figure we will have one "Fun" auction (Limits Do Not Apply) Daily. I may work on making it Completed Free (Price and Bids) too. I seriously want to try this soap and see what my wife thinks!

Bid and Win: PickleBid.com Pickle Soap - Bid on Penny Auctions at PickleBid.com

I will be sending out a flyer tomorrow with some upcoming items and a list of recent site changes. A few things worth mentioning here: Buy It Now will be on Most Items tomorrow and will be on All Items by end of week. You will have 24 Hours after the close of auction to Buy It Now.

Authorize.Net will be back by end of week, but I do like PayPal - nice and neat Shipping Labels! Have a great night and rest of weekend guys!

    Default Win Limits

hi. i have a couple of questions regarding calculation of your win limits, please. your toc indicate that the win limits are 1/day, 5/week, 12/month. when do these time periods begin? for example, does the week begin on sunday or monday? does the month begin on the first of the month? or, is it some sort of rolling calculation that is based on each individual's wins?

it would be cool if you guys had an obvious counter on your site, like myezbids does, to help people keep up with it.

finally, i don't know if anyone has mentioned this or is having this problem, but i find that i have to log in multiple times on your site. for example, on occasion when i go from bidding on an auction to look at my profile, it will require that i log in again, though i haven't closed any of the pages or otherwise logged out.

    thanks.

I just started using pickle bids but I know if you click on winlimits it will tell you how many you have like its seperated under day week and month and it will say 1/1 or 1/5 and so on.. Also I know that when I went to pay for my auction win it signed me out.. and 1 other time ...not sure why.. but it seems like a good site so far :-)

It's all rolling, like Bargainsandfun if you're familiar with that. i.e. if you win an auction at 7:31 tonight you can't win earlier than that time tomorrow, so you have to watch the times too.

Hi - the Soap was "supposed" to be an Open Auction, which it was, but since we really only do Open for the Fun for All, I think there may be an issue with this setting. I will work on it tomorrow AM. I will try not to post another Pickle-themed item until the Open Auction setting is working. BTW: More Pickle Items coming including Pickle Chapstick, Toothpicks, Mints, and I think one more thing. These will always be Open (not applying to Win Limits). Unless someone wants Pickle Soap vs. Amazon GC, who knows!

On another note, I sent a link for Bacon Soap to BidPigs! I think I prefer Pickle Soap though ... but Bacon ... Mmmmm Bacon ... GOOD NIGHT!

Yes! We are working on coordinating that (my brother and I). Right now we have some future auctions online and I will be sending out a newsletter. We had an issue with BuyItNow so I am just trying to resolve that now before tonight's auctions close. I want to give everyone 24 Hours to Buy It Now, not force them to BIN before the Auction Ends. Just a minor tweak ... ;)

Sign me up! I really need a job and nobody wants to hire my talent.
I'm a General Business major at my college and need only 15 semester hours left before I graduate. Better than the internship program offered at my college. Studying all these penny auctions is quite exciting though, but I still am a newbie at penny auctions (only 4 items won from 3 sites so far).

    Talking Quick note - OOPS

    Hi,

Just placed a bid on a beginner auction then realized it was a beginner...
    not enough coffee yet! OOPS!

So for all the happy clicking coffee deprived bidders take a 2nd look before clicking.

Sent a note to them to remove my bid.

    Cheers!

I think the setting still is not working, I won pickle soap, so of course I'm very happy, but it locked me out for 24 hours. Drat! I wanted that Shutter Island Blu ray! But I'll be back......there are terrified pickles to be won....... ali

The same thing happened to me! I think they think we stink, rofl!!!Darned pickle soap! LOL!! I wish that they could change the 24 hour setting, as alot of us want to get in the auction under the .05c to 10c mark, preferrable first,..lol. With this system it is making us look like jumpers. I don't like it. They should eliminate the 24 hour lock out.We ARE all grown and can tell time, type and bid, too!! Limit 1 win per 24 hours/day is fine...how about tomorrows auctions are another day!!! If we are closing out for the night, after we get our win, if tomorrows auctions are up..we should be able to "reserve our seat"..., give people a heads up we are in.

All the better to see who's bidding! We may be clean, but we will smell like pickles! I don't know if they could set the lockout to reset at midnight? That way you could win one each actual day and pick your auction, rather than worrying about the time. I'm sure I could find you a horrible present but you probably wouldn't get it: Racingbroker, General Delivery, Deep South, USA See you in the late auctions! ali

How long does it take to get a reply from you customer support? I emailed them about the trailpay that I signed up for yesterday. I never got the 25 free bids and I didn't receive any bids for submitting a review yet.

Hi Frosthawk, they normally get right back to you, try just emailing instead of sending through the support ticket email system. Hope this helps.

    Hi Guys!

The 24 Hour Limit is just a Daily Limit we have in place. Basically, for now, it prevents you from winning @ 9pm and then winning again @ 9am the next day. We will look into changing it but I don't think it will happen right away.

I just wanted to mention we do a lot of Ads on Facebook and Google. Just because a user does not come up in a Google Search does not mean they are a Shill Bidder. We have had an accusation today of shill bidding yesterday. I have emailed the user in question and asked if it is OK if I publish her purchase receipt. I wish all my users were from PAW or seasoned PA users, but that isn't the case. We will be able to sustain the site longer with NEW PA users. That is the truth. But I will always look into any complaints promptly.

    Thanks!

    -Nate @ PB

Could you please get me an update on ticket #195. I sent in a request yesterday and have not received a reply yet. I fear I may not have filled out the info properly. Thanks!

Working on it now. Don't forget you have to be signed on to see Buy It Now. Let me know your results via the ticket (not forum) as I will see the reply much faster. If for some reason BIN does NOT work, I will manually calculate the cost and you can PayPal the difference. We did have issues early in the week but since then several users have used the Buy It Now without problem. Thanks! -Nate

BoredNCrazy - Nice battle yesterday we had on the xbox game, not exactly the outcome I wanted, but it was funny once we were both on that site finally at the same time and let the bids fly. What's crazy is it was cheaper to use the BIN option instead of winning that auction after our early battle...go figure. I've seen you on a few sites I've been trying out lately, I usually respect and root for PAW members on the sites I play and hopefully you will do the same moving forward....

    See you around
