Howdy Folks,
We have had a couple of questions about win limits on the site.
Right now they are set to 4 per day and 10 per week and unlimited per month.
As we build up the user base we will tighten these up.
Thanks
Michael
Howdy Folks
We would like to welcome back all of our registered users. As many of you know we have been offline since last Monday night working hard to fix a couple of minor issues that were not found during our two rounds of beta testing. Several enhancements have been done to our software that runs our site and we think you will find a huge change in the performance of our site. We are posting live auctions tonight (Saturday June 12th) that will close on Sunday June 13th. The first auction will close at 8pm eastern time. Please come by and check us out.
Thank you for your patients as we worked hard over the past several days to perfect our site. Please feel free to email us at [email protected] if you have any questions.
Any wins from last week will be shipped out the first of this coming week.We have been busy with crawling in and out the the software code hince the delay.
Thanks,
Tom and Mike

WOW! I checked out your site, but talk about jumpers! My goodness! And some of these people I would not expect it from. So what the world?!?
I'm sorry, but I feel that a win limit of four a day is a little much. Maybe when you have more auctions up, that would be fine. Could be why there are so many jumpers!
I agree. I think 4 a day is too much considering the fact that there are only 4 auctions at a time. It is harder for bidders to win with so few auctions and jumpers jumping in at the last minute.

Howdy Folks,
Ok I have changed the win limits to 2 per day 10 per week!
The main reason we ony run 5 Auctions is we want to make sure that the site is running the way it should be. The other reason is we want to build up a user base, we will be increaseing the $ amount on most of the card auctions starting tomorrow nite. Most will be $50 plus the bounus gift.
Thanks
Michael
Howdy Folks
All pays out from our first auction have been sent out or paid via paypal.
I will be sending out tracking numbers soon.
Stop by the site we auction going on now
Thanks
Michael
So, I just bought bids, and waiting for them to credit to my account (paypal issue)......but Im almost sorry I bought them now. Looking at your closed auctions, it seems you have two main people that win with a few people sprinkled in on the way for variation. Perhaps if you are only going to run 5 auctions a day, you should limit users to 3 wins a week or something if you are trying to increase your database. I really liked your site when I tried it out, and you guys are great with customer service from what I have seen, but I dont think I will be wasting anymore of my money to try to win something with the existing auctions and limits.
How does the 10 per week work? Is that 10 over 7 days or 10 from this day to this day?
With only about 35 auctions in a week or thereabout, it's quite plausible that two people win 20 of them in a given week. I have to agree with Nawty, 10 per week still seems a little high for the lack of total auctions. Just my opinion though.
Well, I have officially decided. As soon as paypal gets their head out of their a** and posts the bids I bought.....when they are gone, I am done on this site. With only 4 auctions a night, there is WAY too much competion and the only ones that win are the power bidders. I think it could be a nice site eventually, but not now. Dont waste your money. I have spent over $150 on bids with almost nothing to show for it and its not like I give up easy. Only having auctions a couple hours a nite with just 4 auctions going, you may as well just hand the cards to the couple people that do win on a regular basis. I see 2-3 names ( and a couple of those refuse to even think about letting anyone else bid and maybe win) that manage to win alot. Otherwise its hit and miss. Sorry buy1get1.... I liked your site at first, but im not in this to do nothing but LOSE money. Maybe in the future......
they do have good customer service and i won 2 things and got paypal payments real fast. there does need to be more auctions because you have 3 or 4 big time bidders. i think maybe if you cut the auction values in half and had more auctions then more people would bid. it does seem like you have been making some money. i also will not be using the site intill i see some new auctions.
So, since the site came back online....
2 users have won 10 times each
1 user has won 4 times
1 user has won three times
3 users have won 2 times
the 7 other users have managed to win just once.
This is NOT counting the "freebid" auctions
Does not seem like very good odds to me.
And yes, I do agree...they have great customer service Dennis. But it takes more than just good service to run something like this. People have to feel like they have a chance at winning, and saving a few bucks while they are at it....not spending more than the card/item is worth
you just need to know when to sneak in and get it! And sometimes you know that you are going to loose, but you figured you can't always take advantage of the situation. So just need to blow some bids. ;)
But the ten auctions a week is rather high. I would prefer the gc going at $25/$10 and more auctions. Then a limit of 10 would be fine.
They definitely need more auctions or lower win limits. I won't be buying any more bids until they adjust their win limits according to the number of auctions they are running daily.
LOL...I think "blowing" 175 bids is more than enough. Too much in fact for what I have been able to win. More than that in fact, once the bids I am waiting on finally register.
I play on alot of sites....I know how to win. But i refuse to blow more than $65 worth of bids to win $65 worth of gift cards. Just isnt worth it when I am on other sites I can win them much cheaper.
Okay, so maybe you did spend more than I did on that site. But I've taken out a lot more than what I have put into it. So yes, blowing some bids against a big bidder is just what I did.
I don't remember telling you that you don't know how to bid. Or making a reference to how many sites that you bid on. I was stating that you need to know who and when to bid on this site from my experience.
I think you are on to something, having 6-8 auctions with maybe $25 + 10's instead of 3-4 of $50 plus $10 might help the site get started. It can always go to better amounts after it builds it user base. You can always have maybe one 50 +10 auction also a night as well.
I do agree the customer service and shipping are awesome. I won 2 auctions so far, on one I received the GC in about 4 days after winning. On the other I choose paypal credit and got it the next day. Can't beat that. On some sites I've been waiting 6 weeks for my GC's.
I never said you did. Im telling you i KNOW how to bid. You dont have to tell me. I am very successful on other sites. My point is, you can barely ever win on this site....no matter HOW you bid, WHEN you bid, or WHO you bid against.
Im not going to argue with you. Im stating a fact. That being, unless they change things like having more auctions and stricter limits, thereby allowing more people than just mainly two to win......they are losing my business and WILL lose alot more.
I think the BOGO guys totally rock. They are honest and have good customer service. But, I like many of you others are concerned with purchasing bids when there are so few auctions and such comparatively large win limits.
So, only two regular auctions yesterday and one free bid auction.......and none listed to come up later for today???
Has anyone heard anything recently? Are they making changes or what?
New limits set. VERY NICE! Now the rest of us stand a chance !
You guys ROCK!
what are the new limits? I can't get the site to load on this computer

The limits posted (1 per day; 3 per week) are active now. We are trusting that YOU will help us grow. We want everyone to feel welcome and not feel over powered by a handful of users. And, yes as our user base grows so will the amount of auctions and the $$ amounts as well. Our goal is to have no auction under $75 value, but that takes a larger base to make that a reality. We have posted a "refer-a-friend" bonus of 10 bids for each of you, if someone here is already a registered user and refers-a-friend we will give double that for YOU when they make there first purchase.
To get your bonus have your friend forward you the verification email and then you inturn forward to helpdesk@buy1get1giftcard. Please include your user name at the top so we can find you quicker.
We are depending on you to help us grow offer more/bigger offerings. If anyone has any questions please feel free to write Mike or myself at the above email address.

I think they are already in effect, but I did send them a note, cause i see one user that is at the limit but still bidding.
new limits???
1 per day and up to 3 per week nawty.
Nope....site says 1 per day, 2 per week now.
Wow, didn't notice that the site changed the limits tonight. Earlier today it was 1 per day, 3 per week.
I won one of the auctions yesterday. How long does it take for them to respond if I requested Paypal payout instead of gift cards?
I have only exchanged once, but it was done the very next morning.
RPG.....make sure you look at your auction though. I see many of them are not eligible for exchange.
My won auction is a grab bag, so I can choose either gift cards or PayPal payout. The others in today's auction say gift cards only.
I just noticed that there is new win limits. 1/day 2/wk and 7/mo. When do these new limits go into effect? Is it going include our existing wins? Or a clean slate?
Personally, I dont mind the limits at all. Some sites are even tighter on the limits and I will still go back.
When you have power bidders who are winning everything for just a few pennies, you have to set fairly tight limits to draw in new users. Who wants to play on a site they dont stand a chance of winning more than once a month when they happen to be lucky enough to catch a day when all the power bidders are locked out.
I like knowing that tomorrow, I can go in and have a chance on winning something, instead of logging in every day and seeing the same people winning over and over again.
