Hi everyone,

We at BiddingYard have created a few Bidding-Tools that were custom built for the sole purpose of enhancing your bidding strategies. We will be having our official grand opening on the 7th June (that is the reason our timers set the way they are) so in the meantime I wanted to make sure that you know about all of our features.

- BanterBox: Taunt, provoke and get competitive! Since you guys are so social we created a specialised chat feature inside every auction.

- TopUp bids: Every auction at BiddingYard has auction-specific bids that can be bought at a great discount. If you need, for example, 5 more bid-tokens to secure a win, then simply TopUp with 5 of our cheapest bids

- SuperBids: SuperBids are a great alternative to regular bids in a PrivateAuction. If you don’t win, we’ll refund all of your SuperBids when the auction ends. That’s our bid-back guarantee!

- Runner-up rewards: In every auction 2nd and 3rd place players get free-bids.

PrivateAuction: Although we also offer regular penny auctions we knew that we had to create an option for members who prefer a bit of "privacy". After all, less competition should mean more skill and a better winning edge.

The past - As you know, seated penny auctions are penny auctions that have space (or seats) for X amount of bidders and will only start once all seats are sold. To participate you need to buy a seat and then wait for the rest to sell out before you can start bidding.

PrivateAuctions - We have changed things a little bit.
Example: iPad. 120 seats, 56 seats to launch, 5 bids per seats, starts June 7
what this means:
1) Your competition will never be more than 120 members
2) And, once 56 seats have sold we WILL start the auction.

*some PrivateAuctions will begin immediately, i.e. 0 seats sold (see our Avatar auction)

3) Buy a seat using just 5 bid-tokens and we will give you 5 bids-tokens for free to use in the auction (all your other bids are still valid in a PrivateAuction)

Please come and have a look around, make use of our free bid offerings and (if you want a space in a PrivateAuction) book your seat to win an Apple iPad.

Please tell us what you think.

I really like everything about the site.. the way that it looks, the different ideas..all of that.. but can you clarify for me who is allowed to have an account. In the terms and conditions it states that each user is allowed 1 account, but when i went to the sign up page it stated each household can have 1 account..I have a different address and house then my boyfriend however we also have another house together..he does alot of his own bidding and I also do some of my own bidding so my question would be are we only allowed to have 1 account together or can we have separate accounts because we have separate addresses. We look forward to using your site..

Thanks for pointing that out Carmelita21, I will have that corrected ASAP

It should say "per person". We will of course allow for multiple accounts per household since many users will find themselves in your exact situation. Other users may live in dorms or in house-shares, so we will of course allow multiple accounts per household. We will however restrict multiple accounts per user and will have to question an address that has an unusually high number of accounts registered to it.

Thank you for your feedback. I look forward to seeing you and hope you have a great experience with us.

Your very welcome Carmelita21,
Thanks for the feedback dealbid - it's very reassuring hearing that from you :)

I thought I would add that we are planning a weekend surprise auction. We have already chosen a great product to auction, however I thought I would get your opinions too. We may either change the product or have two surprise auctions! (I can't tell you what we have chosen because it's a surprise)

You can also follow BiddingYard on Twitter, where will be announcing a few surprise auctions from now up until the 7th of June

I'm now following you on Twitter, but will you also be announcing the surprise auctions on here? Now when you say weekend surprise do you mean that this weekend you will have surprise auctions before opening day?

Hi Carmelita21
Yes we will be announcing all surprise auctions on Twitter (and of course on PAW)
The auction we launching this weekend will have a 30 second reset time and will be active on the weekend (ie: will potentially end on the same day). Once we decide on the time to start the auction I will let you know.

Have a great day
