I started bidding because I was bored, and it seemed like a fun way to try to get a good deal, but before I knew it I was hooked. YEP, I'M AN ADDICT! Nope, I can't stop! Oh, but I have tried! What am I suppose to do, just leave my bids behind? I can't do that, it's bid abuse and I'm just not that kind of person, they would be all alone, cold and afraid, with no one to care for them, or to gently guide them towards the bid button. Even worse, they'd feel like it was their fault, and it's not, they tried time and time again to talk me out of it, usually without success. They've been very obedient bids, and they have done everything that I've asked them to do. I take full responsibility, I wanted them, I sought them out, I paid to take them in, so I have to see them through to the end.

Hold up now, don't get me wrong, some bids are born just plain ole bad, they were bred by mean, unscrupulous PA breeders, the ones that refuse to ship our wins, and the ones that put us in the ring with their biggest, strongest bots & shills (and some of those don't ship either, go figure). I'm always prepared to kick those bad bid seeds to the curb, and never look back.

What was the question again :P

Hi Everyone!
Well, I started bidding on penny auctions soon after getting laid-off from my job trying to score some great deals. That was about 3 years ago and yes I'm addicted. Although I dont play near as much now because of some extremely greedy people these PA'S attract. I still manage to get some great buys now and then, it just take a lot more research and patience...
Also, I want to give a special Thank You to Amanda for your tireless work and commitment to keeping to PA world more accountable
Thank You also to the sponsors of this wonderful giveaway!

I started because I was looking for a way to save on purchasing a new TV and I was looking for a way to get discounted gift cards. I stayed because like a sports fisherman I was hooked! There is nothing like the feeling of winning something especially if you didn't know you were going to. I do enjoy the great bargains and doing research on auctions & the other bidders & also following the unwritten rules of Penny Auctions to put myself in the best position to win.... But the feeling of bidding and not knowing and having the timer count down and the feeling of your heart thumping just can't be beat!

I've always been a sucker for Chuckie Cheese, Carnivals & Dave & Busters games... Penny Auctions provide that break in the day excitement and the prizes are way better.

I would never want to be a Power Bidder (Not that anything is wrong with it) because if this is truly Entertainment Shopping and everyone is scared of bidding against you then it's more like Super Bargain Shopping... So with that said I pretty much do it for the Entertainment.

I bid to get some great deals. It is addictive, but fun. I enjoy the competition that it brings. It has been great for me for over 2 years now.

I started bidding out of boredom. I remember getting my first spam email announcing the site bidstick.com and thats where I started. Once I won a few items real cheap I was hooked!!

I started bidding a couple of years ago when Dealdash was Bidray. It was fun, like being at the mall and the casino at the same time, but in the comfort of your jammies! Haven't played much in the last 6 mo or so due to the crooked sites I've been burned on, but I do intend to do some homework and start playing again this year. It's just so much fun to get the items in the mail!

I like to bid on penny auction sites because it gives me a chance to get a great deal on brand new electronics and giftcards. I've won several items over the years, including giftcards, an iPod nano and a netbook. Some wins I got with the free bids I received upon registering on a website. Now that's a great deal! I'm hooked!

I bid on penny auctions because I try to snag deals on items at a discounted price! Most times I go for items that I would normally buy (and use buy it now if I don't win); and sometimes I go for items that I won't buy it now and take a gamble! That's how I won my 60" plasma TV...by taking a gamble! I love penny auctions!

I originally started on PA sites in the fall of 2010 because I heard of them from my dad, and I saw all of the electronics and gift cards he was winning that summer. So, I thought that it would be good to try to get some great deals for Christmas which seemed to be quickly approaching. My first month I totally bombed and did nothing but lose money, and reality started to sink in instead of the fairy tale that I had believed in. Finally, I got a win, and started to get hooked from there. I still made a number of rookie mistakes, and most likely offended some, but with patience I started to learn when to speak openly on forums, who to bid against, and more importantly who not to bid against.

Now I bid to try to get some good deals or for fun. I have managed to get a lot from the PA world, it has helped with travel expenses to weekly grocery bills, to giving gifts (thankful for all of the gift card choices out there).

Hope you all have fun out there, and can guard yourself from getting too addicted. After all, it is just stuff.

UPDATE! The giveaway ends tonight at 11:59 pm CST - HURRY and enter, you just might win ;)!!!

I believe that the more penny auction bidders that come together and post their honest experiences, exposing the shady-scam penny auction sites, the less and less shady-scam sites will stop being the majority in the penny auction industry. Stand with me.

I am still nervous...ever see the episode of Andy Griffith where there is a jinks in town and they try to make sure he wins the TV to assure him he is not a jinks.....instead of pulling the winning number out of the hat he pulls out the "hat size". I am the one that would pull out the hat size.

Best of luck to everyone!!!
