Everyone,

You know about buysafe.com? Just go to that website, register your email (email you registered in bidrivals) and it will show you 30 days of your transactions with bidrivals, then file the dispute. Act as soon as possible, hope it helps.

Hello everyone

Sorry, but my English is very bad ... :)

I do not know how all this will end, but I have a lot of money on items won and items waiting for me.

Also all the money I have in my account in tenders ...

I think many people know me by my username, I hope that little by little everyone of bidrivals users can write here. Dexter, ENGINE2011 i know that you have a lot of money invested.

I hope they return everything to everyone and if is possible see bidrivals that open again.

Bye to all

Hi Olduser, welcome to Penny Auction Watch! Your English is just fine, we're glad you could join us and hope you keep us updated here! :) Will post more information on BidRivals as we have it too.

I believe that the more penny auction bidders that come together and post their honest experiences, exposing the shady-scam penny auction sites, the less and less shady-scam sites will stop being the majority in the penny auction industry. Stand with me.

I'm in the same boat. I am due a refund from them for 915 pounds. I bought a Macbook Pro back in February, paid via paypal. They did not deliver all this time and "Peter Spence" promised a refund within 2 weeks. That period is over and now all this happens.

I called the phone number on their domain whois, it's a number for their ISP, hence useless. Please share any contact info you have about these people. They seriously think they can run away with my money?

Welcome sirjimmy, looks like everyone is in the same boat here, that's for sure! That's the only contact info I know of too, I've e-mailed them and have yet to hear back. Waiting on more info of liquidation. When Swoopo did this they remained completely silent.... :(

My payments were made with Paypal, instant bank transfer (direct debit). I called my bank today and told them that I've been scammed with the payments that were made since no product was delivered after such a long time. Really not sure how but thanks to HSBC and direct debit guarantees, I have been credited immediately for those payments but I think it has been out of my bank's own pocket, I hope now my bank will recover the money from the people at bidrivals through paypal.

I have sent a dozen emails to various email addresses at bidrivals.com but there is no reply whatsoever, not even acknowledgement of receipts. I really advise talking to your banks as soon as possible.

INFO FOR ANYONE IN THE UK WHO PURCHASED GOODS FROM BIDRIVALS LIMITED VIA VISA OR MASTERCARD CREDIT CARDS OR BANK ACCOUNT DEBIT CARDS WITH A VISA OR MASTERCARD LOGO ON THEM.-

[h=1]Consumer Credit Act and Your Rights[/h]
[h=3]Credit Cards – Section 75[/h]Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act imposes equal liability on the creditor for breaches by the supplier. In other words, if the company you are buying from goes bust or disappears, or if the goods turn out to be faulty and you can’t get recompense from that company, the credit card company shares responsibility to refund you for the entire amount. However, it is important to remember that this is the case only for amounts between £100 and £30,000.
More recently, section 75 was also extended to cover transactions made overseas or to foreign companies. This also includes buying goods for delivery to the UK from overseas by telephone, mail order or over the internet.
There is now widespread awareness of this loophole as a means of enhanced consumer protection. As a result, credit card companies are getting increasingly reluctant to accept claims so easily. If you are having difficulty pursuing a claim against a credit card issuer, or they are telling you that you must first get a court judgement against the supplier, report it to the Financial Ombudsmen (www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk). They may even be able to award you compensation.

Don't know how you stand if you don't live in the UK!

Dear Kate,
Please note that as of now this case is being handled by third parties, therefore I am not in a position to confirm anything I am afraid.
Despite that, further details shall be provided to clients in due course.
Regards,
Carl.
Unfortunately Carl’s Linkedin profile lists him as having “worked” for Bidrivals so I am not confident of any further replies.

Dear ELOY the Bidrival strong one..

Good to see a post from you here! .. I often wondered if you were a shill bidding account because you bid as madly as me!!!!! LOL Now I know otherwise.. :) But still I recollect that you don't bid against ENGINE2011 the even stronger Bidrivals one very often! :)

You are lucky your list of products that Bidrivals owes you is very short compared to mine.. today I counted a total of 371 undelivered auction purchases I've made from Bidrivals (including CGC orders which I note that you haven't listed so maybe your list is as long as mine!) There are a few undelivered items dating back to the end of December 2011 but the majority are from January 2012 onwards... and when I added the value of all of what I am owed up I nearly had a heart attack today!.. Bidrivals have scammed me for a seriously large sum of money - I'm talking about a five figure number here without a decimal point involved for any pence!!!!

Hi everyone;

Long time lurker and first time poster. This is most disturbing, I have been reading the opinions and articles for a long time and have just recently decided to dive into penny auctions. I chose Bidrivals.com because its one of the biggest so I thought it would be the safest. I purchased a bid back on the 20th March 2012 and have been bidding on a few items but have not used the majority of the bids. Has Bidrivals.com really gone bankrupt or is it just a technical issue?

I read at this forum, http://thegeneralfor.../topic,9.0.html that its strange to have a site that has daily maintenance so that the "database can catch up". Is that true? Do websites actually do that daily so the database can catch up?

I paid with my credit card, so should I file a chargeback request? I feel so sorry for those who have lost thousands. My loss is only a few hundred, but it still hurts, to pay for something and not be able to use it. Do you think Bidrivals.com will ever come back online?

Also, has your emails to Bidrival support been answered? They seem to have gone dark, I have not received any correspondence since the maintenance landing page has been up. Has anyone managed to get a response from Bidrivals?

Dear All

I have been reading this thread over the last few days with grave concerns.

We are the supplier of Perfumes, Cosmetic and Skincare products to BidRivals customers. We usually get an order list from BidRivals on a weekly basis and we would ship within 48 hours; however, at the beginning of last week, BidRivals did not send us the weekly order list. We skype them (Tuesday 29th April) the find out why, they informed us it was a technical issue at their end.

Since then, we have been trying in vain to get in touch everyday through email/phone/skype, but getting no reply/reponse at all. We hope for the best but in reality fearing the worse.

BidRivals owe us 8 weeks worth of all the perfumes, cosmetic and skincare products listed on their site, due to the fact that we issue a monthly invoice, plus 30 days credit terms. The next set of invoices are due on 9th May.

This could potentially ruin our business if BidRivals do not pay up.

Any help/advice in forcing BidRivals to pay for those invoices will be highly appreciated.

Mr Smellies

I have just searched the register of Limited Companies based in Malta and can confirm with 100% certainty that BIDRIVALS LIMITED (Company ID 46824) ARE IN DISSOLUTION

Go to this link http://rocsupport.mf...nformation.aspx and type BIDRIVALS into the company name search field if you wish to verify this information for yourselves.

Also please note with interest from the search results that BIDRIVALS own a second limited company called BIDRIVALS GROUP PLC (company ID 49414) who's registered business address is the same addressas BIDRIVALS LIMITED, namely FLAT NO. 5, THE FIRS, GORG BORG OLIVIER STREET, SLIEMA.

RE: INSOLVENCY LAW IN MALTA:

You can find very helpful information regarding the Dissolution process for Malta based companies via the URL below if anyone wants to try and recover the money owed to them by
Bidrivals this way, if you don't get any success from chargeback claims from your credit card providers.

Hi fellow Bidrivals users,

I too am a former Bidrivals power user, i'm quite sad and disappointed to know that all my items are gone (overall value of items are over 8000€).
I joined Bidrivals early January because of a friend (nickname RMTBB) that used the site for over 2 Years and always got his items. I assumed it was honest and scam free but apparently it was a wrong assumption.
The vast majority of my still undelivered items are from January/February, good thing i stopped bidding after not receiving anything after nearly 2 months or else the loss would have been far greater.

Seems like BIDTANIC is going down and we are the passengers. I just hope they have the decency and the money to refund the clients, otherwise we will have to somehow make a conjoint complaint and file for a piece of the cake (if any) resulting from the dissolution of the company.

Paypal dispute is long gone and i am unsure about my CC fraud policies. I am talking to my lawyer tomorrow to know what are my real options.
