MY OPINION:
If they were open longer had thieves to get more money and have warned us about the closing on the Facebook page.
They would put on the auction items of high value, and always with the option.

If they were scammers have closed their Facebook page and Bidrivals page.

I think Bidrivals closed to resolve legal problems of former owner, which are many.
Then solve the refunds to each user.
After solving the problems will reopen.
This will take some time, but I'm optimistic.
I hope for your sake and ours.

If you close your Facebook page and page Bidrivals I wrong, while there are open to hope.

I recommend just in case no Paypal dispute open until 43 days after payment.

His messages:1-Dear users,
We are currently facing a lot of LawSuits and therefore terminating all operations of Bidrivals.com

We'll notify everyone once we havesorted things out.

Bidrivals

2-We apologize theBidRivals site is down again.

The Management are currently reviewing their options due to unforeseencircumstances.

All customers who are owed products or cash will be contacted by the appointedpersons dealing with the issues in due course.

Kind regards
BidRivals Management

3-Thankyou for your e mail.
Weapologize the BidRivals site is down again. We will give you furtherinformation when we can. Kind regardsBidRivals Management. .

I had disputes made with paypal but paypal only gave me a small amount of my money back less than $50.00. Which don't make any sence to me because most of my disputes were all alike. I see that Bidrivals has stopped working again, so much for that. Best of luck to everyone else that is trying to get there money back. madonnat

I fail to see how someone could take over a business not knowing that there were lawsuits pending. It seems to me that they thought that bidrivals would still be profitable but after a couple of days they realised that it wouldn't again make money. The reason the site failed was their own fault. They kept changing the rules to try to make money instead of keeping it as it was when it was profitable. The site was ruled by it's "commercial" bidders, which bidrivals allowed. In the end few items passed their reserve and were always won by the same people. New users couldn't win anything and didn't return. Ridiculous deals on bidpacks and bonus bids from auctions failing to meet their reserve essentially made bids worthless.

I have little sympathy for the commercial/semi-commercial bidders who have lost money because you were essentially frauding bidrivals and it's other customers yourself. This is against thier T&Cs and it's pretty stupid for those who have admitted to be doing this. The liquidators could easily more strictly apply their T&Cs and not pay you anything.

They would be stupid to return. Their brand is ruined. They have been blatently lying to their customers for months. I had evidence of them cheating and they banned me from commenting on their facebook page. God only knows what else they were up to that no one noticed.

Good riddance Bidrivals!

Hi bidders bet you all know me
This law suit is probably not all that big a deal, unlike most of you seem to think.
After a bit of surfing the net you will find that Jill manning has been at this for years & this case has already got thrown out 6 -7 times in different states.
She tried taking the internet to court over internet porn twice, as it had a bad effect on her relationship , need i say it she lost. (probs more to do with her than the net)
Last night i got a friend with a law degree surfing the net and we turned up all sorts about her and the others involved.
It is my understanding they are trying to exploit a loophole in USA gambling laws, she also tried it with swoopo & lost
That after 6 months anyone can try making a claim for other peoples lost gambling money? this makes no sens to me but i live in the UK.
The others involved have USA based business and are trying to use this loophole to get 1/8 of the defendants profits (do they not know the worlds economy is on it's ass)

Can anyone remember the date when bidrivals was offline for a week last year, the case was last heard march 2011 (was it then?)

Hang in there guys all may not be lost just yet, i could be back beating you all real soon.

Please don't ask me for any links i saved nothing it's all online for you to find.

Bid Rivals Bid Rivals Yes Alan,
There are lawsuits against Bidrivals LTD and that we took over the assets (not Bidrivals LTD). All lawsuits are being targeted towards our company. We asked the former owners if there we're law suits. Always denied. Now we are working hard to get Bidrivals live again without any interruption. Sorry for the turbulent time regarding Bidrivals.com. The domain is currently turned off for owner change and formal changes.Hace 3 horas ·

Malta Alternative Dispute Resolution schemes

DEAR ALL

TAKE A LOOK AT THIS URL http://www.ukecc-services.net/mtadr.cfm

There are some options here to get your undelivered items issues resolved plus you can add damages to settlements in some instances.

The value of a claim does have a ceiling of €3,494.06 though but I guess if you were making claims item by item this might not be a problem..??? Needs investigating..

Just a suggestion if you want to try and recover the full value of your items..

Ultimately it al depends if you trust Malta's legal system.. I have an opinion on that but I'm saying nothing... its your decision at the end of the day if you fancy giving it a shot!

Keep forum members informed please if any one uses this root of dispute resolution and let us know the outcome.

You'll need to use a web page translation web site to convert customer complaints into your native language.

Very interesting. I missed where bidson acquired them and these notices. Keep us posted here. I've just e-mailed Bidson too.

I believe that the more penny auction bidders that come together and post their honest experiences, exposing the shady-scam penny auction sites, the less and less shady-scam sites will stop being the majority in the penny auction industry. Stand with me.

'Bout time you showed up and contributed to the forum TWISTED_D.. So welcome aboard from someone else in the UK mate!

....Now Where's Marrju??? .... she must be owed about a million pounds worth of £40 Amazon Vouchers !!!! LOL

I so badly wanna ask her if she ever received the £40 Amazon voucher which cost her over £550 pounds to win against me! And I only stopped because BR's sh*t visa payment gateway hung up on me so I couldn't buy any more bids!!!!! I can't describe how angry I was.. without braking any rules here LOL

So what's been your strategy re: the non delivered items TWISTED_D... you must be owed plenty.. Charge Backs or not?
I don't recollect the site being off line last year for a week? Although I recollect Swoopo going off line the day after a law suit was filed and they never came back! Also they did it secretly to.. blueprint of BR in fact ..

It is doomed now. I lost so much money and they wont even respond to my emails anymore?
What can I do? I have filed credit card disputes and they said it can take 75 days for a verdict.
I am very stressed.

hello engine

i have been watching this and all the other blogs (including the french one) since this all went down. I am actually an aussie, our deliveries did not start to go really bad until the last month, i even got some items after the initial shut down. This is most likely because of bidrivals having a separate registered company in Australia with some great office staff, who now in hindsight must have been working under some extreme conditions. I do remember that incident, here it was for a dept store card and if i remember correctly you jumped on me, which i note you have a tendency to do to me and many others (including my sister who i wont name). i was very angry with you at the time because it was costing us both dearly ( you still dont back off at times when others are bidding-you should watch this in the future if we all get the chance!! LOL). It cost me much less than that as the aussie $ is much stronger than the pound and euro

I have observed that most of the regulars have been communicating on the various blogs and note that PAW is trying to get them all together which is a good idea. Nice to see you also twisted destiny (did you have a previous user name??). Caravel responded briefly on the french site so most of the 100 bid pack regulars have now gone public so to speak.. even lovebidding responded briefly on one with some ridiculous number of bids that she claimed to have (36,000 would you believe!!!). I suppose like most i hope this gets sorted as i do have a lot of items outstanding which add up to many $1000s of $.

What i never knew until this all stated to go pear shaped that we were all bidding from many counties!!!. This now explains a lot to me about when different people were coming on to bid.

Hi fellow bidders...

I hoped you would say hello ENGINE2011,

Yes big time loss if it's gone for good. Like a true pro im just taking on the chin NO CHARGEBACKS filed, just starting again next month it would be a same to not put my skills back to work and it's fun.
Ive seen Sir Bidsalot has gone onto madbid buying and lousing winning very little LOL

As far as what i won they go back to Jan i did get a smashed 3D TV they send a replacement , i sent that back on the same lorry it came on yes that was smashed too and next day they had gone offline.
Only other items that arrived was Phillips hifi and a mpman tablet thing, like you over 5 figures never turned up.

I have just looked you and ELOY up on this site i found this week do you know about it? allpennyauctions.com wer all in the top 50 BR winner of all time.

HAVE A LOOK http://www.allpennya.../BidRivals.com/ mine is outstanding for 3 months work, i don't think stats take into account free bids so my profit is off by about $13k (i did the maths)
On the site you can link up ur old BR usernames but im not put out there how much i really won starting late 2010, you will know all of them first ended in john last 2 had jonny in them :o sorry if we banged heads now and then LOL

That's it from this guy, take it easy E20 don't take it too hard this BR thing, life go's on there is always a way back wile site like this keep coming. Find the right 1 you do have the power. TWISTED_D..
PS to all anyone know about jammybids.com just singed up auctions stat next week, is it new?
