Penny Auction Watch: What got you interested in the entertainment shopping industry?
LimitlessBids: We had been looking at other penny auction companies for a while, and we kept track of what we liked and what we didn’t like through the eyes of a customer. We thought about what could be done to make the ultimate penny auction website, a website that really catered to its customers. That is what really inspired us to create Limitless Bids.
Penny Auction Watch: Is there a story behind your site’s name?
LimitlessBids: We read a great quote one day while thinking of names, “The only limits in this world, are the ones you set yourself.” After that, one of our family members said, what about Limitless Bids?! It made complete sense to all of us that this would be a great name for a Penny Auction website. Since we all know auctions can close at any price, the possibilities of end prices are Limitless!
Penny Auction Watch: How long has your site been open?
LimitlessBids: Our website has been available since November of 2012, but our first auction closed on December 14th, 2012.
Penny Auction Watch: Can you tell us about some of the items that you offer/have lined up? Do your auctions run on a schedule?
LimitlessBids: Currently, we have Live Penny Auctions and Hidden Reserve Auctions. We try to offer the best and newest products in our Hidden Reserve Auctions. We also offer great products in our Live Penny Auctions! In the past, we have auctioned off multiple iPads, iPods, an iPad Mini, a Google Nexus 7, Blu Ray Players, Gift Cards, Fragrances, and more! On the days that we have live Penny Auctions, the auctions start at 7:00PM EST and have an interval of 30 minutes. Once we have a larger user base, we will decrease the interval and run Penny Auctions more frequently. In the past, one of our 4th Generation iPad’s went for $0.75 in a Live Penny Auction, and of course we honored it, because that’s what great Penny Auction websites do!
What are the timer increments between bids and does this vary by auction?
LimitlessBids: For our live penny auctions, every time a bid is placed after the timer has reached below 30 seconds, the timer resets to 30 seconds. For our reserve auctions, there is no timer. There is a price range shown and users bid to reach the hidden reserve price at which the auction will close.

LimitlessBids: Currently, we offer FREE shipping on all of our auctions!
Usually shipping costs vary with the size of the product, ranging from $5 – $20, but that’s on us!

LimitlessBids: We are open to the United States and Canada.

LimitlessBids: We are a family owned and operated business. We strive to have the best customer satisfaction in the Penny Auction community, and so far our users are extremely pleased with their experiences on Limitless Bids
In the future, when we actually start making a profit, we will donate 5-10% of our profit to the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association). This is because our eldest son has Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy, and he is currently 27 years strong! We feel that the MDA is the best choice for us as a philanthropy since we relate to it so closely. If we can contribute to helping them find a cure, the feeling would be indescribable!
