URGENT: It has just been brought to my attention that someone is going around impersonating PennyAuctionWatch.com in e-mails to penny auction sites. They’re stating that their e-mail is info@pennyauctionwatch.com, this is not our e-mail address.
We hardly ever contact penny auction sites directly to solicit and never have we contacted them to harass or threaten. This is a serious issue and whoever is doing this is nothing short of juvenile.
This behavior may result in legal repercussions. If you have received an e-mail from someone posing to be from PennyAuctionWatch, please, by all means let me know ASAP.
Here’s one of the E-mails that was sent out to a penny auction site today:
“User e-mail: info@pennyauctionwatch.com
User name: Bressen, Doug
Company:
Phone Number: 800-976-7893We have noticed that you have recently started using BOTS in your auctions. We have been keeping an analysis on your traffic and constant watch on your individual auctions. I would advise you to immediately stop this practice, as you are harming the credibility of the industry as a whole. You are stealing money! We will report you to the proper authorities if this does not immediately stop.

In some states impersonating someone on the Internet is a misdemeanor.
Also, certain individuals have been going around and contacting penny auction sites and trying to discredit me and this site with viscous lies and have called me a multitude of ridiculous names. This type of behavior is inane and defamatory. If anyone has contacted you with anything along these lines, please let me know.
