Bamdizzle is changing their format to seat auctions and anyone holding bids in their account will lose them if they are not used by July 9th.   The only items up today are  2 Visa gift cards for $100 & $200.

“Dear Valued Customer,
In an effort to level the playing field and continue to offer great deals, we have decided to make some exciting changes to our auctions. We will be running “seat” auctions, which will be described in more detail later.
Due to the nature of seat auctions and credit pricing differences, we have to start fresh from a bid standpoint. Therefore, we need to inform you that the bids in your account will expire on July 9th at 12:00 pm central. Rather than just nullify the bids, we have decided to run a few more auctions to give you the chance to use those bids.
So, what is a seat auction? When you visit the site, you may see anything from a gift card to a new car. To get in one of those auctions, you have to buy a seat. After you buy the seat, you will be given a predetermined number of bids to use on that auction. Once all the seats are sold, an email will be sent out notifying you about the auction start time (usually 48 hours from the time the last seat is sold). Let’s look at an example.
The auction is for a 40” HDTV worth $1000
It costs 30 credits to buy a seat ($30).
20 seats will be available.
You will get 30 bids to use on the auction.
Each bid increases the price by $1.

Once the auction begins, you have 30 bids to try to claim the TV. If the auction ends before you use your bids, you do not get them back. Or, if you use all of your bids before the auction ends, you can no longer bid on the TV. So, you must find a good strategy and stick to it. In this particular auction, you will have a 1 in 20 chance at winning a $1000 TV. And, if for some reason all the seats do not sell after 30 days, the auction will be closed and refunds for the seats will be given. One last thing, similar to our regular auctions, you will be responsible for the final auction price.
Sounds like fun! This type of auction is more transparent than our regular auctions. Thus, you will know how many bids are on the table and how many people you are bidding against. We look forward to being one of the first auction sites to offer this to our customers. Thanks for your business and good luck!”
