Dublin based penny auction start-up TheGamePumpkin.com will soon launch their marketplace-style penny auction where users will be able to buy and sell their own items. The guys behind TheGamePumpkin have just released a neat penny auction industry infographic, because we love infographics (Moloyo did the first ever penny auction infographic that we really liked too) we´d like to share it with you.

Their infographic provides a brief overview of what a penny auction is, glimpses into what a few media outlets have said, and highlights a few of the major sites that have received venture capital funding.It is pretty unfortunate that 3 of the 5 of the Who´s Who of the Penny Auction Industry are out of business.
