Remember TheAuctionSquirrel? They’ve merged with the new penny auction site that we told you about, BidMyDreams.com

Here’s what TheAuctionSquirrel tells us: “We are very excited to announce the merger between The Auction Squirrel and BidMyDreams. As some of you know, we have experienced a family crisis that has left us unable to continue listing auctions on TheAuctionSquirrel.com. Fortunately, the merger with BidMyDreams will allow us to continue our operation. We will be working with the BidMyDreams team, and we will continue to provide the same kind of customer service you came to expect with TheAuctionSquirrel.com. All unused bids from TheAuctionSquirrel.com will be transferrable to BidMyDreams.com.

To complete the transition to BidMyDreams, you need to:
- Register on BidMyDreams by October 31st (our new grand opening is November 1st)
- Select “The Auction Squirrel” under “How did you find us?” This step is vital so BidMyDreams knows you are transferring from The Auction Squirrel.
- All of your bids will be transferred to BidMyDreams. To celebrate the merger, every user from Auction Squirrel will receive 5 free bids.
- If you have already joined BidMyDreams and have bids left with TheAuctionSquirrel, email BidMyDreams ([email protected]) and they will credit your bids to your BidMyDreams account

BidMyDreams.com is also assisting us in sending out the last few items won on TheAuctionSquirrel.com. If you are still expecting items from TheAuctionSquirrel.com, they will be mailed out early this week.

We look forward to continuing to provide each of you with great service and a fun way to auction!”

Here’s the announcement from BidMyDreams:

“BidMyDreams proudly announces the official merger between The Auction Squirrel and BidMyDreams. With a proven track of running an honest penny auction site and excellent reputation for their customer service, we are privileged and delighted to have them joining our team.

If you are an Auction Squirrel user, don’t worry, we have you covered. All Auction Squirrel users will be able to transfer their balance to BidMyDreams. In addition, to celebrate our merger, every user from Auction Squirrel will be given 5 free bids. All outstanding items will be shipped out in the week of October 25th, 2009.

If you have any question, feel free to ask them here. That’s what we are here for.

They appear to be using the same software as Biduh, are they a scam?
