We recently gave out private beta invites to the new speed-auction site StuffBuff.

Technological evangelist Robert Scoble, Building43 recently interviewed Michael Langer of StuffBuff at the PayPal X Innovate 09 Conference. Watch the interview: Michael tells us that StuffBuff is sniper & robot bidder proof and plans to officially open StuffBuff in January.

StuffBuff is using new technologies including Ape AJAX Push (real-time data streaming) technology and PayPal’s innovative, open API payment system PayPal X.

Though not a pay-per-bid auction, we’re looking forward to seeing StuffBuff’s “Blink.” In Blink the seller sets a price on an item, the more “watchers” the item has, the faster the price falls. The first watcher to click “buy” wins. StuffBuff plans to launch a mobile version and offer charity auctions.

What do you think about StuffBuff?
