Interview With Bid Position Auction 1Heluvadeal.com

Brand new bid position  penny auction site, 1Heluvadeal.com opens today. 1Heluvadeal.com has a few very unique items, including Navajo art prints, Native American accessories, cars, bicycles, hot tubs, and vacations. 1Heluvadeal can afford to auction off high-end items such as automobiles because they sell bid positions, once the bid positions are purchased the cost of the items are covered, thus resulting in minimal-no loss for the owner. Consequently, if the required number of bid positions do not get purchased within 3 days, bidders will be refunded.  Each bidder on 1Heluvadeal will have an equal amount of bids, therefore the playing field is level and powerbidders do not have an advantage.

Here’s our interview with 1Heluvadeal’s owner, Jeff Horner:

Penny Auction Watch: How do you generate your income?

1Heluvadeal: The majority of our profits are derived from the discounts we get from our suppliers and what little we receive from the winner when the auction closes. Very little or no money is made from the selling of bid positions.

Penny Auction Watch: Is there anything that will set you apart from all other penny auctions?

1Heluvadeal: Most definitely!  There are 5 things that immediately come to mind

  1. Users on our site will notice that BidBots (BidBots is 1Heluvadeal’s name for Bid Butlers/Autobidders/Bid Buddies, not t0 be confused with shill bots) and Single Bidders are being kept apart from each other,
  2. Bid Packets and the selling of bids have been totally eliminated on 1heluvadeal, which means zero cost to the person bidding.
  3. Our customers are able to hold their very own Mini Auction where they can list their own new or used merchandise for sale.
  4. To increase their chances of winning, we have drastically cut down the number of people allowed to bid on any given item.
  5. Everyone can be sure that with the purchase of their bid position and the nominal end price of the item if they win, they will not be exposed to any further outlay of cash.

Penny Auction Watch: Are your Bid Positions the same as selling seats?

1Heluvadeal: In a word NO!!  Seat auctions were never popular because among other things, the numbers and time frames that were attached to them, were more often than not, horrendous, plus, they stayed around forever waiting for someone to purchase a seat.  To further compound the problem of seat auctions, which of course is assuming the auction site finally did sell all of the seats, the seat owner would then, after months of waiting and having their money tied up in their seat purchase, still have to fork out even more money, especially if they were UNLUCKY enough to win.  I say unlucky, because with every bid placed, the price of the item increased by as much as $30.00 which understandibly, did not bode well with them.  At1heluvadeal, the type of situation I just described above has dissapeared by way of the Dinosaur.  The number of Bid Positions we allocate to each item are kept to a very bare minimum and cost only a fraction of the price of the item itself.  Bidding is 100% free on 1heluvadeal.

Penny Auction Watch: What happens after all of the bid positions have been sold?

1Heluvadeal: Once the positions are sold, everyone is given a 24 hour advance notice before the auction is activated and only those who purchased a bid position are allowed to enter into bidding on that particular item.  This keeps the bidding competiton very low and fixed for those taking part in the auction. Once the Bid Positions go on sale they will only be available for sale for 3 days maximum.  Also, once all bid position have been purchased for the item, no other money is required from our customer because they never need to purchase any bids.  Bids simply do not exist on 1heluvadeal.

Penny Auction Watch: Why have you done away with the selling of bids?

1Heluvadeal: Because of the unique way in which we have set up the auction there really is no need for bids.  On 1heluvadeal, bids have been replaced by “BidClicks” (mouse click) which act in the exact same way a bid does yet costs absolutely nothing.  A “BidClick” is a key component of the bidding process, even though it has no monitory value, its sole function is to activate the auction software when a bid is placed.

Penny Auction Watch: In addition to paying for a Bid Position & the nominal end cost to the winner, are there other fees we need to know about?

1Heluvadeal: None whatsoever.  As I mentioned before, the major source of our income is derived from the discounts we receive from our suppliers.  Since we are already a well established companyin other areas, we don’t see any reason to financially beat people up by the selling of bids in addition to the supplier discounts we receive.  We feel that when people do business with us, they should be able to have fun without having to worry if it will break them financially.  We feel that by keeping the costs to our customers at a very bare minimum and keeping it fun for everyone, we will attract more customers than if we tried to grab every dollar we can out of them.

Penny Auction Watch: Why are you allowing people to sell their own items?

1Heluvadeal: You will no doubt be pleased to know that the original idea actually came from reading what PAW members had to say.  Many of them are of the opinion that auction owners make a lot of money, so we thought, if they are correct, then why not give them the same opportunity to make a buck for themselves using the same Penny auction concept as 1heluvadeal does.  In other words, why not let them run their very own Mini Auction.  By selling their items on 1heluvadeal they will make a nice profit and never lose any money.  By selling their own items, they can now experience first hand how money is being generated and how fairly they are treated when they are the buyer on 1heluvadeal.   a “Post Your Own Item” link is available on our home page.

Penny Auction Watch: What are the real chances of the average person winning an auction?

1Heluvadeal: Their chances of winning are fantastic,  I seriously doubt other Penny Auctions provide the same chances at winning.  We have been able to level the playing field for anyone who bids on 1heluvadeal because there is no need to purchase any bids.  There is no difference between Average Income Bidders and Power Bidders, everyone is exactly the same, one doesn’t have advantage over the other.  Everyone, from the moment the auction starts to the very end when it closes, will be competing equally because everyone bidding on an item will have the same amount of FREE  “BidClicks” at their disposal and none can ever be purchased.  On 1heluvadeal, no one needs to feel inimidated by people with a lot of money or who have built up large bank accounts of bids, everyone is as financially equal as the next guy from beginning to end. Its a simple matter of having fun while you “Shop Til You Drop” without having to pay any extra while you do it.

Penny Auction Watch: What will the timer increments be between bids?

1Heluvadeal: Each bid ads 15 seconds to the countdown clock,  Bidders can be sure that the software provides ample time for them to properly record their bid.  Our staff will be constantly monitoring the bidding activity to make sure that if a computer or software malfunction happens they will be right on top of it.  Should a major software malfunction occur, we will temporarily halt the auction on that particular item, once the problem is fixed, we will re-set the bid positions back to the order they were in at the time the problem occured.

Penny Auction Watch: Will you have bid buddies/butlers/autobidders?

1Heluvadeal: Yes, but our “BidBots” as we call them (auto bidding)  are only able to compete with other BidBot bidders (BidBot Wars) and Single Bidders will only compete with single bidders.  To keep things fair, the two factions will be kept separate from each other by the auction software.  Each item posted on the site will be designated as either BidBot Bidding Only, or Single Bidding Only.

Penny Auction Watch: What got you interested in the entertainment shopping industry?

1Heluvadeal: I read an article on MSN. Not sure anymore what it was called. but it really peaked my curiosity.  Since 1heluvadeal as a company has already been around for many years, I felt it was the ideal vehicle to run a Penny Auction and at the same time provide our existing customers with another inexpensive way to do some fun shopping.

Penny Auction Watch: What kind of items do you plan to start with?

1Heluvadeal: Now that we have populated it, the site itself can answer that question better than I can by clicking here >>>http://www.1heluvadeal .com/auctions/future.  Once on the site you will see a wide variety of items to choose from.    You will not see too many of the more common electronic type items normally displayed on other Penny Auction sites because we want to offer our customers a whole new variety of merchandise which will keep things interesting.

Penny Auction Watch: How do you plan on dealing with customer questions and concerns?

1Heluvadeal: We are very accessible. Our customer service will be available 24/7/365.  We have installed live chat, they can also contact us by phone Toll Free 1-877-705-3531 or e-mail.  After normal business hours when our USA offices are normally closed, the auctions will still remain open, our Switzerland office will monitor the site and the sites live chat.

Penny Auction Watch: What will shipping costs be?

1Heluvadeal: Depending on the item, sometimes shipping will be included free, other times the winner will have to pay.  If the winner pays, we will give them a choice of shipping carriers along with their rates.  Unless the item is direct from our own inventory in which case it will be free, it is usually our suppliers who determine if shipping is included or not.  Each items listing will specify whether delivery is included or not.

Penny Auction Watch: Will there be win limits?

1Heluvadeal: NO!!  Reason being, everyone has an equal chance at winning.  With every dollar spent on a bid position, 1heluvadeal deposits over double that amount in BidClicks in the clients account for them to use during the bidding process.   No matter who they are, everyone who holds a Bid Position on an itrem, will have the exact same number of BidClicks allocated to them as the next person.   Strategy still plays a very important role when bidding.  Everyone starts out on an equal footing without having to worry about paying out more money.  As I mentioned above, instead of using bids, we use FREE BidClicks.

Penny Auction Watch: Is there a story behind the 1heluvadeal theme?

1Heluvadeal: Yes!!  In the developmental stages of the 1heluvadeal Penny Auction, we knew we wanted to set ourselves apart from other Penny Auctions.   We read what people on PAW had to say as well as on other forums that talked about Penny Auctions.  We noticed that there were a few common denominators that were of concern to many people, concerns that had never been completely dealt with by other penny auction owners.  I think we have done what we set out to do and then some. We have effectively removed many of the more common day to day concerns.  Now people can actually have a lot of fun interacting with 1heluvadeal without it costing them an arm and a leg. If anyone is going to become addicted to shopping on penny auctions, then let them become addicted to FREE BIDDING on 1heluvadeal.

Penny Auction Watch: Is there a strategy to bidding on 1Heluvadeal?

1Heluvadeal: Yes there is.  As I mentioned earlier, with each purchase of a Bid Position, each client will receive over double in FREE BidClicks what they paid for a Bid Position.  Example only:  Each item is designated its own number of free BidClicks, this means, If a bid position cost $100.00 then 225 FREE  “BidClicks” will be deposited into each clients account, after which, no more “BidClicks” will be issued to anyone for that particular item.  This means that everyone taking part in the auction starts out equal and as such, will have to strategize on how they will use their allotment of BidClicks most effectively.  Available upon request for FREE is our “BIDDING STRATEGIES AND TACTICS THAT WORK”.  This is a must read eye opener to Penny Auction bidding,

Penny Auction Watch: How does a person with little or nothing in their account compete against those with large balances?

1Heluvadeal: No one need ever be afraid of competing against anyone with large balances in their account because everyone starts their bidding with the same amount of BidClicks which are allocated to each item at the time it is originally posted.  They are then deposited into each persons account at the time they purchase a Bid Position.  Win or lose, once the auction is over, any remaining free “BidClicks” left in the bidders account will be removed and their account balance returned to zero.  Because of this, the customer may as well use all of their “BidClicks” to their maximum effect when bidding.   It should be remembered, that while BidClicks do not have any real or monitory value, they do play an important role in the outcome of the auction.  They serve the exact same function that bids on other auctions do.

Penny Auction Watch: Do you have a refund policy?

1Heluvadeal: Yes!!!  100%. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.  To view our refund policy in detail, access our Terms and Conditions link located on our home page.

Penny Auction Watch: If it could be said that you have any launch day concerns, what would they be?

1Heluvadeal: I would have to say my concern would be, will the auction software function as it is supposed to without any glitches.  Even though we have tested ourselves to exhaustion and made some significant software changes and corrections, glitches can still happen.  We originally purchased the basic software from someone else in order to save on development time, but only the real test of time and through constant use will we know if the software will live up to expectations.  If any unforseen glitches do occur, then I hope people will be understanding enough to know that it was beyond our control and that we will immediately take steps to correct the problem.  Above all, with 1heluvadeal, no one need ever worry about losing on cent due to any malfunctions.   We painstakenly checked site functionality out ahead of time, hopefully, everything will continue to work properly under heavy use.

-Thanks 1Heluvadeal!

That’s why online pharmacies is becoming more popular over the last years. Well-known are remedies which are used to reduce inflammation caused by inflammation of the skeletal muscle etc. There were only few examples. Did somebody tell you about canadian generic Viagra? Maybe you yet know about the question. Sexual malfunction can be a result of a physical condition. Even when it has a physical cause, psychological problems can make the disorder worse. Sex drive problems are so commonly a product of how you feel that there is something to that “headache” saying after all.

If i had to select between 1heluvadeal.com & Junglecents.com, i would honestly pick Junglecents as it is less riskier. Imagine putting $1500 to win a car and don't win it..I would be taking a big risk in 1heluvadeal where in Junglecents you just spend money for bids and it is not even that expensive then 1heluvadeal..

    just my 2 cents..

caven – sounds like to me you buy one of a limited number of seats in an auction (for example, the mustang has 30 seats @ $1500 per seat) then everyone gets the same amount of bids and whoever bids last wins. Having a limited number of competitors and a level playing field (with everyone having the same amount of bids) is their niche. Maybe it could work if the items were lower priced and the "bid positions" were say … $50-$100 but even still…the bid positions for that turquoise necklace are $99!

Too confusing. Maybe they’ll make it but I’m skeptical that if it works they way I understand it (which could be wrong!) that they will be successful.

Not many people are going to pay $1500 for a chance to win a car or $99 for a chance to win a necklace – not even if only 10-20 other people are competing. At least I wouldn’t think so. Would like to hear from some of the people who spend a ton on bids think about this auction model.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around how it all works.

I mean, they say they did it that way because people complained about being overtaken by “powerbidders” but you have to have power bidder money to buy a $1500 chance on a car or a $100 chance on a necklace.

But I don’t have that kind of money, maybe it will appeal to those who do..I’m anxious to hear what those people think about this concept.
