What got you interested in the entertainment shopping industry?
I sold items on Ebay for many years. When I found penny auctions and began playing, I thought having my own site would truly be something I would love to do.
How long have you been open? We opened for a few weeks on Jan. 17, but needed to close to fix problems we found.
Our official opening date is MARCH 1, 2010
What kind of items do you offer/ have lined up? Do your auctions run on a schedule?
I will be auctioning gift cards and various items people want, but won’t buy for themselves.
What are the timer increments between bids/does this vary by auction?
Bid butlers will be set at 5 sec. and auctions will increase by 10 seconds when bids are placed
How much are your bids?
Starting at .80 for small packs and .60 for larger.
What are your shipping costs?
How long does it usually take for users to receive their items? Most gift cards will be 1.99. Other items depend on size and weight. I ship out 3-4 times a week. All items should be received within the week.
What states/countries are you open to?
United States
What is your policy for bid refunds?
Situations will vary. I have refunded many bids due to problems we had in Jan. If someone has a problem, we will work it out in a way that the bidder will be happy.
Are they win limits, limits /household?
5 per 7 days.
Is there a story behind the name/theme?
ABC PENNY AUCTIONS came from wanting a name that was very easy to remember. I was also able to get all the domain names that were alike. And I will be first on the list! lol
