Bid4Millions.com Opens Tomorrow

Updated: 11/10 Bid4Millions has shut down and users report non receipt of items. If you’ve been ripped off by this company please file a complaint with the FTC and your state’s Attorney General.
Introducing new penny auction site that opens tomorrow, April 2nd,  Bid4Millions.com. Read our interview with Bid4Million’s Tony Hood.

What got you interested in the entertainment shopping industry?

I guess the first thing was discovering I liked bidding on a couple sites, but found out rather quickly just how the “bot” bidders worked. I was extremely frustrated by the fact that if I didn’t bid the item sold for mere pennies. When I did zero in on an item the bidding never would stop. I spoke with a couple friends about it, showed them the sites. We discussed the possibility of starting one that would not do anything to change the outcome of the Auction. I believe if you are fair and honest with people it will work and you won’t run them off.

What makes your penny auction site unique?

I am not special nor is the site, unless you call Honesty, Customer Service, Shipping and anything else we can do to make our site an enjoyable experience for everyone.

When will you open?

We plan to open to limited bidding on April 2, 2010

What kind of items do you have lined up?

We are going to offer some of the latest Electronics, gift cards( good ones) lol. We also hope our customers and fans. Hopefully they are both, give us ideas. This isn’t about us auctioning a bunch of stuff. Its about providing the Items everyone wants. We don’t want to have filler for a low price just to make it look better.

Will your auctions run on a schedule?

Yes, for the start-up phase/ We will do what the customer guides us to for the future.
What are the timer increments between bids/does this vary by auction?
The timers will be set for 15 seconds, and no it will not vary.

How much are your bids?

Bids will be 75 cents each.

What are your shipping costs?

It will vary a little with the size and weight of the items. But we do intend to keep those costs down.

Are there any win limits, limits /household?

We didn’t start with any, but that could change to keep the playing field even for all, I know the ways people with a lot of money to throw at an item or two to scare others from bidding against them. If I have to put restrictions on because of them to keep it fun for all, I will!!!!!!
Do you plan to run any special promotions?
Yes, we are going to give away an item each week from the list of items we are auctioning for each week!
Is there a story behind the Bid4Millions name/theme?
Funny you should ask, if this site does good for us we want to Auction off a Million Dollars Cash and hand deliver it to the winner. My partners think I am Nuts for even thinking it but I would love to do it.
Thank you Bid4Millions! Is there anything else you would like to tell Penny Auction Watch readers?
Our site will be an open book to you, I want to be trusted, I also know it will take time. But if I have to prove our Honesty I will do what ever that takes.

Thank You
Tony Hood

That’s why online pharmacies is becoming more pop over the last years. Well-known are remedies which are used to reduce inflammation caused by inflammation of the skeletal muscle etc. There were only few examples. Did somebody tell you about canadian generic Viagra? Maybe you already know about the matter. Sexual malfunction can be a result of a physical condition. Even when it has a physical reason, psychological problems can make the disorder worse. Sex drive problems are so commonly a product of how you feel that there is some to that “headache” saying after all.

Good luck to everyone on bid4 millions,I spent $112.50 ON BIDS And won 2 25 bid pks, which were used up so quick, I noticed my time and a nother players was exact,so i quit playing and sent owner of site e-mail, he agreed with that, and gave me my 10 bids back, well wife got on and played this morning going 4 a $50.00 gift card, took all 110 bids and of course she didn't win.after her(our bids were gone player won.since we haven't been playing.everything is going 4 nothing.Check it out.so my wife sent Tony an e-mail requesting to close account as if it was me requesting it.tony sent back e-mail saying he hated to see a $50.00 card go 4 that. And was hoping we would not close our account.{well looking at past auctions since then im sure he didn't want us to}Theirs cards and things going for 4-5 bids now that were not bidding.Just our luck, not suggesting anything inproper'For whatever reason i can't post,Even though you said in past e-mail you would help me out.If you will post this great.I was known as thats mine on the site of tony's bid4millions.com. Excuse me viewers, after posting this I see I got alittle ahead of myself on explaining some things. What i was speaking of when i mentioned me and another player time being exact was when i was bidding on a ipod nano. When i shared this info w/ Tony on the phone,he said he would have his programmer look into this matter,I may be wrong, but I doubt since we are no longer sighed up. It will be in our favor regardless of outcome.Tony also told me the player that it was awarded to,has been raping his site since he opened up.Im sure if anyone is interested they can go to his site and see who is raping him.(his choice of words, not mine) Good luck and everyone have fun.Rick,Alisha Jackson

Hi, I'd just like to remain anonymous, just in case the owners of http://www.bid4millions.com decide not to post out the things I've won if they don't like what I am writing here.

Just posting what I think of this site. As to what you said about a player's time being exact as another player when you bid, I totally understand what you mean and it also confuses me. You will win things for exceedingly low prices i.e. 0.XX cents + not having spent many bids to secure the win, but let me tell you that is very very rare, and I am talking from my extensive experience with penny auctions. You get excited over the wins and decide to go back but believe me, you are going to suffer a net loss on the long-run, and you will realize that very quickly. I am a real living example of someone who has won items with great deals but am suffering a net loss on this site.

One should really take their money to Vegas or Atlantic city and play a hand there instead. It obviously a lot FAIRER + more fun..! Also, I think the savings for the ended auctions misrepresent the truth, since they only calculate the amount of savings from the winning bid price as a fraction of the product's retail price WITHOUT taking into account the number of bids that the winner has spent on securing the win. If you look at the bid history, many of the so-called 96-99% savings are actually NEGATIVE for the winner. Foofara.com gives you an analysis of your net savings/losses while you bid and truthfully posts their shocking -300% savings or 99% savings in the ended auction sections- I think that is a very useful feature and helps bidders to refrain from being irrational idiots.

A piece of advice to the owners of the site: Your 3 day auction limit per 24 hours will actually drive registered users away. Don't let the same people win that many times a day and disadvantage other users (who have just signed up) to turn away from your site. You've got to think about the long-run of building a vast membership of regular users and not consolidating your net revenues. You have to prepare yourself to suffer immense losses during the start-up of your site in order for it to become successful and popular. I know this because my friend (owner of a popular auction site.. so much traffic that I don't bother checking it anymore at all) tells me so. Just my two cents.

I've been bidding on Bid4Millions, and I will say I have experienced a few glitches. But I think it is very important to note that this is a brand new site, and they are still trying to get everything worked out.

Despite a few problems, Bid4Millions' customer service is absolutely spectacular. You can call them and unlike some sites they actually answer their phones!! Plus they are on Facebook, and they usually answer any questions/concerns within 1 day (even over the weekend). Yes, the site is still a work in progress, but it is being run by honest people, who do seem to genuinely care about their customers.

Give them a chance to get up and running, and I think they have the potential to be one of the better penny auction sites on the web.
