Bidsplay.com recently changed ownership, when they changed ownership we posted an interview that we conducted with the new owner, who seemed to want to run an honest/legit penny auction site. Well, the new owner shipped a user a very dirty Xbox and Wii remotes and they have not resolved this issue with the member and have not ran an auction in nearly a month now.
The last the user heard from BidsPlay was March 8th, below is a summary of her experiences receiving what appears to be used/very dirty items:
“We will contact you in regards to the refunds for the Xbox 360 and the
(2) Wii remotes tomorrow. Also please see our Terms & Conditions link
that has now been added at the bottom of the BidsPlay.com home page.

Basically, there were 3 items in question: the xBox and 2 wii remotes
that they ordered from a place called 1stchoicedropship.com. They
offered me the following (even though the xBox was advertised as being
new (in their terms and conditions), and what I got wasn’t even
refurbished but dirty. I replied that I wanted to be reimbursed for a
NEW item. They originally offered me bids but I rejected that offer.

“As we stated in the previous e-mail below. All of our suppliers we
have accounts with don’t have the Xbox 360 “Premium Gold Pack”
available for sale or in stock, accept for Amazon. The price is
$357.00 for a new one which is unacceptable. The suppliers you have
supplied us with, we do not have accounts with any of them, and as
stated in the below e-mail to you.
We are NOT going to order this item from an unknown dropshipper and
have the same thing happen as what happened with 1stchoicedropship, or
worse.
You have stated in your last 2 mails that you don’t want to be credit
bids at all. What we can do for you is. Refund to your Paypal account
the purchase price we paid 1stchoicedropship $195.26(as shown below),
plus difference for shipping $6.23, plus auction end price $5.17, for
a total of $206.66 paid direct to your Paypal account after we receive
the refund from 1stchoicedropship. You can purchase the Xbox from one
of the suppliers you have provided us, or purchase the Xbox locally and
save on the shipping costs. BidsPlay.com is in no way responsible for
the item after the fund have been deposited into your Paypal account.

We think it would be much easier to just refund to your Paypal account
the purchase price we paid 1stchoicedropship $72.34(as shown below),
plus difference for shipping $1.42, plus the auction end prices 6c + 3c
= 9 for a total of $73.85. BidsPlay.com is in no way responsible for
the item after the funds have been deposited into your Paypal account.
