New Site: CalleCents.com Copying BigDeal.com & BidCactus

Just recently the owner of the soon-to-open penny auction CalleCents.com has been posting negative comments about BigDeal.com, the competitive shopping auction site.  If you take a look at CalleCents.com you will see the stark similarity between the two sites. BigDeal.com opened in November of 2009 and is backed by millions of dollars in venture funding.

Not only is CalleCents copying BigDeal, they’re posting negative comments about them here:

User timbone/ CalleCents.com posted this in the red flags section and in our last post about BigDeal: “Yeah right I used the site

Its pretty annoying, who the hell bids over the item price

Its just a scam like other penny auction sites
Users have weird names, you could easily tell they were automated
The way it works the items with no real bidders sell for so cheap you are tempted to go bid
When real bidders start bidding, the winners who bought the item for a few cents
come back and bid so much that its almost the buy it now price
and then they cant bid anymore and leave
for every auction they are at least two of them
Its all a bunch of bull
and the person who commented before me just said that they dont have a real office even if its a home(http://www.pennyauctionwatch.com/2010/04/bigdeal-auction-competitive-shopping-reviews/comment-page-1/#comment-3311)
and also they items are shipped from all around the US
since I was forced to use the BUY IT NOW option, probably they help friends sell their iPods they cant return
BIGDEAL IS A NO DEAL
please stay away

That’s why online pharmacies is becoming more popular over the last years. Well-known are remedies which are used to reduce inflammation caused by inflammation of the skeletal muscle etc. There were only few examples. Did somebody tell you about canadian generic Viagra? Maybe you afore know about the matter. Sexual disfunction can be a result of a physical condition. Even when it has a physical reason, psychological problems can make the disorder worse. Sex drive problems are so commonly a product of how you feel that there is something to that “headache” saying after all.

THIS IS TO ALL COMPANIES ASSOCIATED WITH AND INCLUDING BIGDEAL.COM THAT HAVE BEEN AVOIDING ME, STEALING MY MONEY AND RUINING MY CREDIT!! THIS IS INSIGHT INTO ONE OF THE 1000’s OF COMPLAINTS YOU IGNORE , FROM THE CONSUMERS YOU DECEIVE!!!

      Comment from http://www.my3cents.com :

I went into pay my bill me later account and noticed there were charges from Bigdeal.com (over $350.) as well as my Paypal bank account was charged over ($150.). I contacted Bill Me Later and was told I would receive an e-mail from them and would be resolved by the end of the month. As to Paypal, they have reversed the smaller charges totaling $24.00+. Then I find out that Bill Me Later and Paypal have merged.

I spoke to Bill Me Later service representative and was told they could not find any suspicious activity or fraud involved with my account. The day these transactions took place I was at work. As to Paypal, they have only reversed $24.72, not the $100.00 etc.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR PAYPAL OR BILL ME LATER – they are a ripoff–

THAT IS THE END OF THIS ONE EMAIL AND I HAVE APPROX 2000 MORE I CAN SEND OUT!

TO Bill Me Later-I have had several conversations with your company and I do not have a problem with your company because you have tried to help me out, BUT the fact you are directly associated with PayPal makes you part of this deception (sorry but it is Guilt by association)! Please be aware this is only ONE minor post I am responding to and will place as many as it takes to retrieve the almost $4000.00 I have been mischarged! Believe me, there are HUNDREDS, actually THOUSANDS of angry consumers regarding BigDeal.com, and PayPal, Bill Me Later, etc. and how they have been done wrong. I can give you over 40 websites to look at, with nothing but complaints about BigDeal.com and PayPal and now your affiliation with them has begun to creep up in many blogs. People are angry, and it only takes one voice to unite the masses, please do what is right!

Think about it, I have 2000 friends on Facebook, they have… how many friends…and then their friends??? Just do the math PayPal executives, and BigDeal.com, I can name all of you executives and your professional references if need be but thought I’d keep first email nice!

      My Response and……

DAVID VS GOLIATH, or is it??????

I PREFACE THIS BY SAYING EXCUSE ANY SPELLING OR GRAMMATICAL ERRORS BECAUSE I WRITE THIS WITH PASSION AND MUCH CAUTION TO EVERYONE!!!!THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT PAYPAL, BIGDEAL and BILL ME LATER!!

I had the same thing happen to me, I was double-billed through PayPal and Bill Me Later(after talking w/them many times I and them trying to help, and realizing that although affiliated with PayPal and indirectly BigDeal.com, they are clueless!!!) in conjunction with using the BigDeal.com site. I looked at reviews, researched the owners and their other affiliatons and past positions/resume’s; and Yes, I did win a few times. But, it is not without apparent consequence(s). They reel a person in, (and do NOT post anything regarding or in reference to my intelligence, because I am probably beyond your own education, and, if you feel the need to respond, I will answer for you…, yes, I do have a job that pays me very well, and I earn it, and I am a country girl at heart, but am ticked off by scams that rob people and try to make it look like it’s innocent) and “allow” you to win a couple of items and then they sick BIDBOTS on you.(People or automatic bidding computer programs that will always have an advantage and are very well-known in this realm of prosperity!) So anytime a successful Bidder is present, they will up you on every bid/outbid you when its obvious there is a tag-team effect going on. By this, I am saying that you can win a watch retail value $400.00 for a total cost to you of $40.00 or less, and then they will have someone “cock block” you by bidding between the last second and time/bid expire. If you start researching the screen names of successful bidders, that always win, like 8 times in two days (because you are limited to 10 wins and then you can’t “play/bid” for 30 days afterwards), they are almost always, in SOME form or fashion, affiliated with a SUB company of one of the investors or employeed by a company directly or indirectly associated with someone within the organization. HOWEVER, this is the absolute WORST credit fraud and scam I have ever been subjected to. And as far as a family member of an employee not being able to bid, research it yourself, it DOES occur! These people are thieves and for the first time in my life I am having to deal with my credit score and correcting it because of placing my faith in BigDeal.com. This is the absolute BIGGEST RIP-OFF I have EVER encountered. I alledged to be charged on shared card, charged for Bids I never bought, was charged on credit cards I never gave them access to, double charged on MANY occassions, and then when I did use a credit card that had MY name on it(but was shared with another family member), when billing questions arose,(I would have been fine with them sharing the information that was relevant to this card) BUT they allowed full disclosure to ALL charges! Some of which they/or PayPal had already agreed were not valid!!! Stay away this is the WORST form of fraud you will ever encounter, and with the number of lawyers they have employeed I am sure they have a “loop hole” for every scenario! They SUCK, are underhanded, and the worst of criminals! Can we say Bernie M.???? Just because you charge 75 cents per penny doesn’t relieve you from being a crook.

By The Way, Don’t Waste Your time E-MAILING the Pathetic excuse they call “Customer Service”. They respond, but no matter how many times you request a call or telephone number, YOU WON”T GET IT!!! And I challenge you to attempt contacting them via Customer Service Telephone Number(s)! I tried them all, and was either “disconnected” when being transferred to a manager, never got any answer, or it was a Wrong number. It was amazing that when they wanted to get paid and I DISPUTED all credit card charges that my credit card companyu had no problem getting in touch with them!!!
But, thanks to being sunjected to financial embarrasement, I have number that MAY help out… 415-814-9828, or email rachel@bigdeal.com..if you REALLY want to know more, I can give you full names of these reps that screwed me over, from the Pres. to the “Peons” in the MANY companies and financial backers!! Its all public knowledge, and just took a little investigation, and a pissed off mom trying to have “fun” playing a penny auction that got TAKEN!!! I have survived loss of a sibling, best friend, CANCER and am battling a chronic autoimmune disease and these people are still the WORST thing I have encountered! That is true perspective of the leeches they are!!

They rely on people to “give up” on getting their money back or fighting the corporate bullies. There is never a way to stop these people if noone ever steps up, can we say “white-collar crime?” If each person were to notify thier friends on Facebook, for instance, and then “Pay It Forward” , it would be a domino effect that could shut them down or at the very least educate potential future users or maybe give a little conscious or plant a bug in each persons ear!!

As far as them “rewarding” you for spending money by purchasing bids and them giving you access to their/your “redeem” credit system, or store, FORGET IT! You never want the CRAP they sell in the “Store”. Bottom line this is the Stuff noone else bids on or wants! Or they give you a % discount that is almost offensive, like 10% on a $1200.00 item, even if you have $7000.00 of “credit” bucks! I have looked up many the items that they have in on-line and you can get them at a better deal most of the time on Amazon, EBAY, Overstock, smart Bargains, etc. SAVE YOURSELF, THIS SITE IS NO “BIGDEAL”.COM-YOU WILL BE LEFT IN THE NEGATIVE AND WITH MORE RESIDUAL CRAP THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE!

I hope anyone that reads this will either inquire about more information or reference sites, because I have them, or at the very least, avoid then site(s) if you haven’t particiapated yet, or CANCEL all contact with PayPal, BigDeal.com, etc

      Consider yourself warned!!!!
