There’s a new penny auction that has been auctioning off cash, EasytoWinAuctions.com, a few of our forum members suspected bot bidders (programmed robot bidders) well we just found out that they have been shill bidding & abusing our forum with a fake testimonial.
In the thread discussing EasytoWinAuctions.com, on our forum, a user named CripNine has been talking about his positive experiences with EasytoWinAuctions, little did anyone know, until now after an IP check of both CripNine’s IP address and the IP we received from an e-mail from support@easytowinauctions.com. IP addresses matched exactly.
When we e-mailed support, here’s the response we received:
“Hello and thank you for contacting us. What would you like to know? To provide you with a brief description we are a cash money penny auction site. Something similar but not exact by any means to the website bid on cash. Here members are allowed to participate in the bidding and winning of cash money auctions. Auction prices vary due to the amount of members participating on any given auction and what the member/members are willing to spend or bid to win that auction. If you are the last bidder on any auction you win the prize stated in the auction. That pretty much sums it up. We are familiar with the posts concerning our website on your site. Many members have brought this to our attention. If their is anything else we can help you with please feel free to contact us anytime. Thank you, Admin At – Fun To Win Penny Auctions!”
Here’s what CripNine (now known as EasytoWinAuctions.com has said), he has won auctions against real users, some being PAW forum members. EasytoWinAuctions’ owner should know that shill bidding is fraudulent. If you have bid on EasytoWinAuctions we’re suggesting you contact PayPal or any payment processor used for a refund as well as report the site to the IC3 & the FTC for further investigation.
Here’s what CripNine told us:

I have won several times at this penny auction. I have never had any problems. The site has always paid me right away plus my freebids for winning have always been credited to my account. If anyone plans on winning every auction your mistaken. I noticed sodaman on Bid On Cash quite a bit. It shows him winning multiple 200.00 auctions for usually around 5 bids. I bet bar to none that sodaman is affiliated with Bid On Cash if not one of the owners. I tried Bid On Cash and it was horrible. I never won, of course they won’t know who I am. Anyhow just thought I would at my 2 cents or maybe 5 cents to win multiple 200.00 auctions.

“All i can say is that if you cannot deal with it don’t bid there. Like i said the auction site has always been good to me. What is this a complaint forum where everyone needs counsel. its simple if you dont like it stay away from there and go to your other favorite site, all the more 5 cent auctions for me. other bidders don’t scare me but i guess they do you. Ironic how the shill labels someone else a shill for a competing site? No wonder no one can match him.
& here he bashes a competitor: “i don’t like boc. i don’t like waiting around for a minute to place my next bid. i think that most of you are so use to dominating on boc and now you know you can’t do that on etwa. i am looking for competition and i find that on etwa, the auctions are faster paced and more enjoyable to me. i will say this again if you are not happy there do not bid there.“

Remember our recent post about Shill Bidding Being a Serious Offense Abroad? Some individuals have even gone to jail for it. What do you think should happen here, when individuals are caught shill bidding in pay-per-bid auctions

Guys Guys Guys, shill bidding does not necessarily mean using bots. Penny Auction owners can sign up as a user give them bids and bid against you as a user. I am sure most of you already know this but I added it for the few who are thinking there were bots as right when they stopped, auction was closed. This is more of a human and less of a bot to me but obviously nothing could be said for sure.

Happy2 bid does the same things and so does dealndash they all mostly cheat. I have found quibisds to be the most honest.
