It’s interesting to note that Bidz.com President Leon Kuperman, in a press release on their first quarter financial results, attributes experiencing weak sales trends due in particular to the new interface design – which like I said, really feel makes the site look like a penny auction site.

I have purchased quite a few items from bidz.com
The quality of the jewelry I have purchased was ok, I just wish they would show images of the size of the jewelry on a model. Even with the dimensions listed, you really can’t tell the size. Every item I have purchased looked like it was made for a child….very small, very thin! Their “retail values” are much much higher than what these items would go for in stores like Kohls, Target, etc. I will say that the gemstones have all been of very nice quality, and you can get some ok deals, just don’t expect to be “wowed” My last purchase was an amethyst pendant that I wanted to give to my step daughter, but when I received it, even though the dimensions were as described, it looked like it was made for a child…very thin metal and very flimsy, very very small. I wound up giving it to my 7 year old daughter instead.Same with the amethyst earrings I bought to match…they were lever backs and so thin and flimsy that one of the levers bent the first time I opened it. Another gift I couldn’t actually give to someone due to how cheap they looked.

Yeah, some of it is cheaper looking I agree but some of it can be nice.. 🙂 Kohls carries some nice stuff too.
