Entertainment shopping sure is gaining in popularity.
You may be interested in hearing that Nick Lachey, former star of boy band 98 Degrees, current MTV star of “Taking the Stage,” and ex-husband to Jessica Simpson, announced on the Rachael Ray show last week that he’s a partner and spokesman for the lowest unique bid, reverse auction Winnit. Winnit was previously Tribber.com.
Lowest unique bid auctions on Winnit include a Las Vegas vacation package at Mandalay Bay, Louis Vuitton handbags, MacBooks, iPods, sports memorabilia and other popular consumer items.
That’s not all, a brand new Porsche Cayman will be won by the lowest unique bidder on November 30th,
at 9 PM. The winning bidder will have to pay the bid price, taxes/licensing and any other fees on the $50,300 Porsche.
Nick is also auctioning off a “dream date” with him on eBay, the current bid price is $5,400.00. With this in mind it makes me wonder how many bids Winnit will receive on their Porsche.
Update: 7:01PM
I tried Winnit.com and I actually got the lowest unique bid, but that didn’t last long- about 5 minutes-they’re right about bidders coming in at the last few seconds.
It does seem like there is skill involved at Winnit as they send bidders signals and you can refresh the page to see if you’re still the lowest unique bidder, or if your bid is lowest but not unique:
Sign up and try Winnit, they give you $5.00 in free bids when you register.
