Today one of our forum members received an e-mail informing them that a third party had accessed their PayPal account and $230 was charged by the German penny auction site Aubino.de before PayPal caught it:
“I find this very coincidental considering my penny auction involvment. My most logical explanation is a site I bid on has been hacked/compromised to the point that they aquired my log-in info and tried to purchase bids on another site as it might just blend with my purchasing habits. That is my best guess…
So if this was the case where did this happen, since I only bid on a few sites logically this would be my starting point. Has this happened to anyone else recently the auction payment went to aubinobid(at)yahoo.com, Their auction site is http://www.aubino.de/ Anyway just a heads up.”
