Penny Auction Users’ Amazon Accounts Hacked

Since yesterday three of our forum members have had their Amazon accounts compromised. All three have had someone change  the account e-mail address, one user has even had a large amount of account credits stolen.  When one user logged into her account the page said “Welcome Ismail.” Another user’s e-mail address was changed to a gmail address and then the third user’s e-mail address was changed to “aubinobids@yahoo.com,” this is very concerning.

We remember a few months ago another penny auction user had their PayPal account hacked and e-mail address changed to this very same e-mail address, aubinobids@yahoo.com.

We are not sure what the connection to a penny auction site may be yet, but unfortunately there may be one.

Please be sure to make all of your account passwords stronger and try not to use the same password across the board.
