User With Same IP as Steve At SlamPenny.com Posts That He’s Won Items?

Have you bid on SlamPenny.com ? Apparently someone with the site owner’s IP has. Today we received an e-mail from Steve[@]SlamPenny.com from the following IP: 68.99.79.5. Shortly afterwards forum member e6usa registers and posts the following 2 comments (1 after the other since it was still in moderation):

“Has nayone else found slampenny.com? It looks legit and I won a black ops game on saturday and already recieved it in the mail…”
“has anyone else been out on this site… it seems legit and i have won on it and recieved item …”

What do you think is going on here? Is SlamPenny.com legit?

That’s why online pharmacies is becoming more popular over the last years. Well-known are remedies which are used to reduce inflammation caused by inflammation of the skeletal muscle etc. There were only few examples. Did somebody tell you about canadian generic Viagra? Maybe you along know about the matter. Sexual dysfunction can be a result of a physical condition. Even when it has a physical cause, psychological problems can make the disorder worse. Sex drive problems are so commonly a product of how you feel that there is something to that “headache” saying after all.

I think you should forward the emails with full headers showing the IP to his local police department. Isn’t this fraud? People like Steve have to learn that there are consequences.

    Hello,
Sorry about the confusion… I own the site but work at a company with other employees not related in anyway to the site. I have looked into this and it appears that an employee without my knowledge was trying to help out the site by posting on your site following a conversation he and I had about the penny auction community. It was an honest effort on his part but has the appearance of dishonesty if looked at from the outside.
I have rectified this situation and you will not see this again.

I would love to discuss our site with you and anyone who is interested in the site….

I assure you we are no scam… if you look at the site you will see we have made little or no profits yet on any auction in that we are in the start-up phase.

    Steve

Really? Did this employee borrow your e-mail address too? See: http://www.pennyauctionwatch.com/forum/92456-post8.html

      Hey Steve,

May attempts to try to communicate with you via the Slampenny website – and through Paypal – have not worked. I’m hopeful that you will see and respond to this message.

I purchased a package of bids in November 2010 but have not been able to use them due to some of the difficulties that SlamPenny is experiencing.

I need to get a refund on those bids.

Can you please refund the money through Paypal?

I think I can request it from my end but I’d prefer to work directly with you guys, if that’s possible.

      Thanks.

Previous comment is silly. It proves nothing unlawful.
Most likely I would suggest he was just looking for a way of spamming some free advertising!

It is fraud to claim you are an unbiased individual offering an honest testimonial when in fact you are the owner of the site. Try having some standards.

I have won on this site. They ship average speed for PA’s, and they actually send you the tracking information.

I found SlamPenny via Google before they opened. They had the firebug exploit and I monitored most of their first day’s auctions and didn’t see and abnormal activity in way of missing e-mail addresses, but did find that there were a few bidders whose user names and email addresses looked linked. A few users trying to get extra bids with multiple accounts. I won 1 auction and used BIN on another. Got them within a week. They had a lot of traffic the first week, but many users looked familiar from other sites that are legit. At this point, I found no mention of them on PAW , PB, PAL, PAF. So the traffic was mostly google, I assume.

Has anyone tried to get a refund for unused bids? Can you post how that worked for you and how you went about doing it?
