Penny Auction Watch: What got you interested in the entertainment shopping industry?
AmazingBids: This industry includes the better of two worlds, shopping and entertainment. I like to do both and this industry was perfect for me when I found out about it.
Penny Auction Watch: How long has your site been open?
AmazingBids: Our current site was open for since May 23, 2014. But we are also owners of Pennyauctionz.com. Not the one that was running bots and mas misleading its members, but the one that tried to turn it around and make it another honest site. Therefore, we had been in business since December 2013 with a few months of gaps when we had to close and start over.
Penny Auction Watch: What sets you apart from other penny auction sites?
AmazingBids: Several things make us different:
1. Our win limits and BIN fees are one of the lowest in the industry.
2. We ship extremely fast. Sometimes as fast as 1-2 business days after the auction is finished.
3. Our customer service is second to none and everyone will receive a reply within 24 hours, regardless what day of week it is.
4. We actually fight with colluders, hackers, and other people who try to cheat the system. Anyone can report other users and if we determine that they are in violation of our rules we will suspend them. They will be guilty unless proven otherwise.
5. We show IPs for every user who bids on an auction, so members can see that and verify that users with same IP don’t bid on the same auction.
6. We don’t saturate our site with cheap bids. We do this by having moderate promotions and limited amount of bid packs being auctioned.
Penny Auction Watch: Can you tell us about some of the items that you offer/have lined up? Do your auctions run on a schedule?
AmazinBids: Right now all of our auctions consist of gift cards. We also start to auction 1-2 electronic items a week or higher priced gift cards that go between $75-125 at retail. At this time, we only run auctions from 7 PM – 11 PM depending on the amount of auctions being active at a certain day. On weekends we may either suspend auctions or run them in the afternoon instead.
Generally, new auctions will be listed 3-4 days before they end on our Main Page. Members can also see upcoming auctions in our “Upcoming Auctions” section.
Penny Auction Watch: What are the timer increments between bids and does this vary by auction?
AmazingBids: All our auctions have the same timer increments. Our timers add 12 seconds when timer drops below 30 seconds. The maximum time it can increase to is 42 seconds and the minimum is 13 seconds. This may not be like most auctions work, but this is how we work.
Penny Auction Watch: How much are your bids?
AmazingBids: Our bids cost $0.50, unless bought during promotions that we constantly run and advertise.
Penny Auction Watch: What are your shipping costs? How long does it usually take for users to receive their items?
AmazingBids: Majority of our items have no shipping costs. Some of the items may have a shipping cost around $5-10 for an item. Our policy is to send items within 3-5 business dates, but sometimes we ship the next day.
Penny Auction Watch: What states/countries are you open to?
AmazingBids: We are open to all 50 states in US. We also accept members from Canada, but they are only allowed to bid on auctions with e-gift cards and bid packs. No physical items can be sent to Canada at this time.

AmazingBids: We provide EXCHANGE programs. Members can exchange their unwanted auctions for bids instantly or they can get vecash to their PayPal. Please read our FAQ for more details.
