Over the past few months penny seat auction site DFWbid.com has gathered feedback from their members, many of their bidders felt that their auctions lasted too long.  The Penny Buy feature is what makes DFWbid.com unique and they have now added to this and combined it with offering auctions that run for a fixed period of time.

DFWbid tells us that they are easing into this new change by offering 2 auctions per day. Based on member feedback they may increase their fixed time period auction offerings in the future.
According to DFWbid, they are making it easier for their users to win auctions.

“Here’s how:

- Auctions will last for only 30 minutes or less. To begin with only two auctions will run from 9.30pm CST everyday.
- We inform bidders when the Penny Buy will happen hours before the auctions start.
- We inform bidders what the Penny Buy questions are hours before the auctions start.
- Bidders can experience the Penny Buy feature and practice the actual questions before the auctions start.

So there will be 3 possible ways of winning an auction:

1. If the auction timer reaches zero the last (highest) bidder wins, OR
2. The FIRST bidder to answer the Penny Buy questions correctly gets the item for a Penny! OR
3. If the item it not won by either of the above, the highest bidder at the end of the 30 minutes wins the item for  the closing bid value.”

How much does it cost to bid on DFWbid? DFWbid is a “seat auction.” In a seat auction bidders pay a join price and then receive an unlimited amount of bids. The join price on DFWbid is 3 credits, bidding is free, but the winning bidder must pay the auction end price.

Please feel free to discuss your experiences and feedback on DFWbid in our entertainment shopping forum.
