Here are a few live penny auction sites have blatantly ripped off the Oklahoma based penny auction QuiBids.com, they’ve gone so far as to copy the navigation, design layout, information, logo, and pretty much just the overall trade dress of QuiBids.com (isn’t this trademark infringement?).

QuiBids’ has posted a few good bidding tips for penny auction users that we thought you may be interested in:
Know thy Self. You have to dig deep within and find your inner chi… No really. Please know that most of the higher value items will take a certain amount of skill, patience and bids. If patience is not your strong point, you might ask yourself if you’re willing to put in the time. There’s really no telling how long an auction can last. You may see a Kindle up for auction for three hours and another Kindle up for auction that only lasts one hour. Each auction is different… Similarly, longer auctions may require more bids, and therefore that is something you need to keep in mind as well.
Know thy Limits. We don’t want people wasting an absurd amount of money. If there’s a product you’re bidding on and the bids you place are getting close, and/or exceeding the retail price of the item, we will send you a warning informing you of this. Use your judgment and if it looks as if the auction may not end in your favor, use the Buy it Now feature! That way not all is lost, and you’ll still come away with your item(s). Simply set a goal, know your limit and stick to it.
Know thy Competition. You’ve probably heard this before, possibly from other tip forums. But it’s true. There may be some bidders who are not going to let up, even if they have to pay twice the retail price. For those people…Well, we’re sorry to see them waste those bids and money – Stop it! For the rest of you, though, get to know those people and avoid bidding in that same auction. Better yet, if you notice a high amount of bidders in an auction, it might be wise for you to walk away and wait for another auction with fewer bidders.
Thou Shall not be Cheap. This is similar to ‘Know thy Self.’ While you can receive some smashing deals, and this is certainly our desire, you should be willing to pay at least a 1/4 of the item’s retail cost. Yes, there are times when you see someone win a high-priced item for a couple bucks, however, this is not the norm, and we don’t want you to get frustrated.

QUIBIDS, is gambling and not auction. I fell for it and now I am out $45.00 of my hard earn money. In a real auction you bid and you pay only if you get the item. Here you pay for bidding. That is gambling. You are paying for thin air, nothing. Do not fall into this trap. My lesson cost me $45.00, hope you learn by others experience.

quibids is the best auction its not easy to win on any auction you need time to watch and learn if you win you get your items in a week if you lose you can buy that item and your bids are are put to the cost of that item great job quibids

Quibid has done a great job at being upfront and honest with people. Lets not be sore losers. If you would have won you would be happy and saying nothing but great things about the auction. For every competition there is a winner and a loser. Quibids has been as honest with people as no other site has been with how penny sites operate. “U pay to play” and no one pulled your arm. You spent your money on tokens to play like a video game, like a slot machine, like bingo, like a carnival that come to your town. If it’s not for you then there is always eBay but lets remember that you can buy the same item here as well upfront with no bidding. Did we mention no crazy fees and no closing fees either. GO QUIBIDS!!!!!
