Michael: Well it was kinda by accident, Tom and I have been best friends for over 30 years and he showed me how penny auctions work. Then it sort of moved into forming a business. So Funbidz LLC was born!

Michael: Buy1Get1Giftcards is unique in that when you win one gift card you will get a second of a certain amount with the one that you won. For example if you win a $25 Target GC you will get a $10 Cash card. Also our Dinner & a Movie is pretty cool. You win gift cards for Dinner and get one for a movie also. Of course we can send you GCs in almost any form you want.
Penny Auction Watch: What kind of items do you have lined up? Do your auctions run on a schedule?
Michael: Buy1get1giftcards only offers gift cards; we may add gift certificates to the list later. As twice wounded Army Veteran I would also like to have auctions where the proceeds go to a Veterans group or organization. We are still working on those details and we will let ya’ll know when we will offer these.
Penny Auction Watch: What are the timer increments between bids/does this vary by auction?
Michael: The goal for our timer is ….3…2…1…Going ..Going.. gone. It will be the same for all auctions. The clock will extend by 15 seconds if you place a bid in the last 10 seconds.
Penny Auction Watch: How much are your bids?
Michael: We have a “Test Drive Packet” of 25 bids at .75 and anything else is a flat .65 no matter how many bids you buy.
Penny Auction Watch: What are your shipping costs?
Michael: We will charge bidder what ever the USPS charges it looks like it will be between $2 and $4. It is my plan to reach the point that we will not charge any shipping.
Penny Auction Watch: Are there any win limits, limits /household?
Michael: Yes we have win limits, 2 win per day, 8 wins per week and 28 per month. We would like to see one bidder per household. We understand some else in you house many use the same computer there for the same IP address, just let us know and we can add them in by hand.
