amusement park rideThe most frustrating thing about bidding on penny auctions is that you can waste spend money on bids only to lose the item.

I don’t know about you, and hopefully you’ve been better at it than I have, but losing money on penny auctions has upset me more times than I can count!

Sure, it’s all a part of the game.

But what if I told you that you didn’t have to play a game that wasn’t fun?

What I’m talking about is there still are penny auction sites that allow you, the penny auction bidder, to actually apply the money you spent bidding on an item and actually get the item for what it’s worth (well, SkoreIt’s stated retail) at least.

Even if the retail price is priced at more than what the item could be bought for at a store/online on Amazon.com or elsewhere, it’s much better to be able to do this and get the item than to walk away empty handed knowing that you’ve lost  hard earned money!

We’re not going to tell you what to do or where to bid at, but to be an informed consumer, remember to always do your research before you bid to make sure the item is worth it to you to bid for and use Own Today.

SkoreIt.com is a penny auction site that allows you to do just that. SkoreIt’s Own Today auctions are what we’re talking about.

How does SkoreIt’s Own Today work?

So let’s say you decided to try your hand at bidding on SkoreIt.com, you purchased bids and then did not win the auction item you were bidding for, if the item had the “Own Today” icon on the page, you will have the opportunity to apply the value of the bids you placed in the auction toward purchasing the item at SkoreIt’s listed retail price.

For example, if you used $175 worth of bids in an auction that has a check-out value of $225, you would be given an opportunity to purchase the auction for $50.

$225 (listed check-out/retail price)
- $175 (value of bids you placed in the auction)
————————————–

Your Own Today purchase price would be $50. Remember,  the window of opportunity to purchase the item only lasts 3 hours from the auction end time.

Make sure the item qualifies for Own Today though before you decide to go “all in” to buy it now. I went all in a few years ago on a brand new Apple iMac on the now defunct penny auction site BigDeal.com and got quite the discount, ($1300+ discount!) but I was prepared to purchase the item at retail if I didn’t win. Not bad?

If you don’t win, you will receive a credit equal to the total value of the bids you used towards a purchase of the item (expires in 3 hours).

Own Today is SkoreIt’s Buy-it-Now. There are other penny auction sites that offer similar buy-it now, to find out about other sites be sure to subscribe to our updates and join our forum!
Penny auctions on SkoreIt that have SkoreIt’s Own Today / Buy-it Now feature will have the following “OT” icon on the auction page:  skoreit.com

Launched in February of 2010 Skoreit.com is one of the most loved penny auction sites. They’re accredited by the Better Business Bureau and currently holds an “A-” rating. Pretty impressive!

Try SkoreIt! for free with the promo code BIDNOW, this promo code will give you $10 in free bids.

Thank you SkoreIt for offering bidders this excellent opportunity, and for keeping penny auction bidding fun!

NOTE: I, Penny Auction Watch  does not have any affiliation with Skoreit, I do not receive compensation from them in any way by posting this article. I am not a Skoreit affiliate. Bid at your own risk and do research before you try any penny auction site!
